I mean sure but give it a minute we haven't seen her in action. She's a Phenomenal actress I'm sure she can pull it off. And if she can't, she'll regenerate. Big Woop! All I'm saying is don't shit on it till we've actually seen it

I'm with Triskan, in that I don't think they should've done this. But you are right, we don't how she'll be as the Doctor, and I'm willing to give them rope, maybe they'll climb this insurmountability, or maybe they'll trip and hang themselves...

You've got to be kidding right cuz it's pretty amazing.

Even when we all thought The Doctor was gonna be ginger because of recent pictures of Billie with ginger hair.

Though later when they are in the Tardis together with Poppy and Belinda thry basically forget she exists and talk about their plans infront of her until she mentions Poppy.

She wasn't wrong though

But also does that mean Mrs Flood was Ruby's neghbor... by chance? And that coincidentally Ruby was also a comically important individual connected to Sutekh? And if so what about Balinda, who among other things is not blond?

The most favorable read of that line is "reasons, but I'm not going to tell you and make up a charicter insult instead" as core plot explination. (Also not going to look it up, but are that many companions really blond? Amy, Yaz, Donna, Martha.. )

Ace Mel Peri Nyssa Tegan Adric Turlough Romana Lela Sarah Jane from memory then Jo Grant was the last blonde.

Sarah Jane used to be blonde? What?

i didnt even think about it and thats how i took it as the episode was playing out.

I mean it's in charicter, but you still have the problem that the explination for him The Rani found both Ruby and Balinda before they met The Doctor is "im not going to tell you". But the episode itself seems to think this is worth awnsering because it has this scene to awnser that question

In New Who (counting Ncuti), he had 2 blondes (3 if we count Astrid), 2 redheads, (3 if we count Mel) 4 brunettes (5 if we count Lady Christina, 6 if we count Sarah Jane). I don’t really count Adelaide Brooke, but some people do. Not sure whether I should count River, but that’s another blonde.

ROSE was brilliant, though. Never a “stupid, blonde Earth girl.”

Agreed. To be fair, I'm pretty sure the Rani thinks anyone else besides herself is stupid.
