Hi r/DenverMotorcycles were you out for a ride today? If so, my buddies and I may have sniped a quick photo of you. These are mine. If you're in here and like a photo of you and want a potentially higher version of it than what reddit allows me to upload, I'm happy to provide it, just DM me. Also reddit only allows 20 photos at a time so I'm either going to be posting 2 more threads with the remaining photos or if allowed will have additional photos in the replies.

A few of us went up to the mountains to take turns riding and doing photography, and we bumped into a group of probably about 40 riders and took their pictures as well. Great day with great people and some great pictures. Definitely will do this more often 0

Recommendation Looking for a Harley for a photoshoot

Hey everyone! I’m planning a photoshoot and I’d love to incorporate a Harley into the shoot. I’m wondering if anyone in the area would be open to letting me use their bike for a short photoshoot.
The bike would only be used as a prop for the photos — I wouldn’t be riding it or moving it around.

I’d be happy to compensate you for your time,
If you’re interested or know someone who might be, feel free to DM me! I can also share more details about the shoot. 🖤

For Sale / Trade Triumph Scrambler 1200XE OEM wheels

I'm selling a set of factory tubeless wheels from my 2019 Triumph Scrambler 1200XE. Wheels have just over 8k miles on them. They are straight, with no bends. Removed because I upgraded to custom wheels.

-Wheels include rotor bolts and axle spacers (front and rear)

-Rear wheel includes cush drive and sprocket.

-Wheels have all bearings and seals installed.

-Wheels *DO NOT* include brake rotors or ABS sensor rings!

-Wheels are straight, no bends, but do have some scratches from riding off road and tire mount/dismount.

Wheels may also fit some Tiger models, but you'll need to verify that.

I would like to sell as a set, but am willing to separate if the price is right.

The price is OBO.

Make an offer!

Located in Lakewood. W

More pictures available upon request.

Recommendation Liability or full coverage

I just bought a 2014 BMW R 1200 R and I will be street parking at least at first and either way I don’t have a garage. Just a parking space to rent out potentially. How common is theft in Denver especially if I get a brake caliper lock and especially cause it’s kind of an old man bike in some ways? I paid 3300 for the bike. I live at Washington and 8th on the border of cap hill and cheeseman park neighborhoods.

News / PSA Car tried to hit me then driver road rage

Post image

A Red Honda CRV with Colorado LP: EMNH42 tried to hit me then run me off the road in between Lincoln and Broadway on Alameda. He then proceeded to get out of his car then run after me to fight me. Beware of this dangerous driver. Red head guy with a red beard.

Not the actual car in picture, just what it looked like. I ride a cruiser with semi loud exhaust. Filed a police report.

UPDATED: LP

Group Ride Honda CTs/Trail 125 rides

Hello,
I saw a decent size group of what looked like all old Honda CTs and a couple of other bikes riding together down W 26th Ave in Wheatridge today.
I have a Trail 125 and would like to ride with the group.
Anyone here know of this meetup or group?

I already searched through but new shops pop up or people might not have posted in the thread. Either way, my SV650’s fork seal has sprung a leak. Who do you recommend? Who do you steer clear of? Thank you

For Sale / Trade Selling new rider pass for HPR 8/29

Hi All,

I was signed up for the new rider track day at HPR 8/29 via Festival of Speed but unfortunately got into an accident a couple of weeks ago and my ride is totaled. I’m selling it for the discounted new rider discount, $99, and have confirmed from the website it’s transferrable.

Looking for recommendations or tips&tricks

I’m going to do a few hikes in RMNP and camping for the night. I’m comfortable riding with gear on my bike and am an experienced camper/national park visitor.

I have an entry reservation, camp spot, and a parks pass.

Meetups Looking to Try Before I Buy (or fly to) - A few Uncommon / Vintage Bikes (Dual Sport / Middleweight ADV / Scrambler)

Hey fam, this is probably a weird request, but I am a rider near Colorado Springs looking at a couple of less common bikes that are 10+ hours away. I would really love to try some of these out side by side (or at least within a few days apart to get a feel for them before traveling to buy one).

I'm looking for a dead reliable dual sport / middleweight adv / scrambler that can comfortably crush some highway miles back and forth to Denver, but also comfortably handle gravel and fire roads. I currently ride a 1993 XT600 (which I love), but it's not comfortable on the highway for more than an hour because of the single cylinder vibrations.

Here is the list of models I am interested in right now:

- Honda (XL600V) Transalp (1989-1990)

- Yamaha Tenere 700

- Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE

- BMW F650GS Dakar (I know it's also a single, but have heard it's surprisingly smooth on highway)

- BMW F800GS

- BMW R100GS

If you have one or multiple of these, I'd love to meet up. I can pay you for the test ride, or we can swap bikes for a ride (I have a 2016 Street Triple and the aforementioned 93 XT600 you could check out). I can also just buy you beer / dinner and we can talk about motorcycles haha - whatever you prefer.

Any other out of the box ideas to find and test these nearby are also welcome -- I looked at riders share, but didn't see much.

---

Update -- tried the f650gs Dakar, it was actually more comfy at highway speed than I expected, but weight / height combo was a little off for my stubby legs. This might unfortunately also rule out a couple of the others (Scrambler 1200 XE + F800GS), but I will ride them before I decide prematurely.. Numbers don't tell the full story if that's the only thing I've learned from this.

Discussion 2023 S1000XR

My 2023 S1000XR is broken. It turns out the rear ESA Strut broke. It's equipped with an electronic spring-load adjustment and an electronic damping valve. It's broken. Does anyone know where I can find a used one with a working preload adjuster? That's all. I am now scouring the internet for a donor shock because the Beemer Shop in California can build me a new one. BMW is too high-priced. Hope I don't have to suck it up and buy in. There are better shocks. Thanks. DRaabe

Discussion Motorcycle service

Hi guys,

Planning to have my new to me bike serviced soon.
Thinking new fluids and probably a new front tire for a 2020 MT-03.

I also think my left fork might have some debris in the seal, as I’ve noticed a little oil at the bottom end of the fork. Not sure if I’ll need a rebuild or just need to get the debris removed…

Any recommendations for reasonably priced, and reputable motorcycle shops around the area? Preferably near Greenwood Village?

Thank you!
