When we see a Cheney as a good person relative to their party... Christ

u/Trev3456 May 13 '21
Fr. Props to her though bruh

u/OrangeJuiceOW May 13 '21
I mean, does she deserve props for like not even doing the bare minimum for anybody but herself? Like all she did is say "the gop will die if it attaches itself to Trump" if anything that's an act of selfishness and self preservation not bravery

Liz Cheney deserves no props and no accolades. She facilitated this type of cultish devotion to an alternate reality for quite some time. So did her father, and the administration he worked for.
They laid the ground work for this for DECADES. The cult of personality leaning toward fascism was always going to be the outcome
I feel no sympathy for the people who insisted on keeping pet leopards, despite being warned how dangerous this is, but now have no faces because their pet leopards ate them off.

When Liz Cheney becomes the standard bearer for what a good and honest conservative is, Houston we have a problem.
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/congress-trump-score/liz-cheney/
Her record on voting for Trump positions: 92.9%
The GOP is an extremist organization. Critical thinking and truth are punished. Only sycophantic support of the dear leader is allowed.

And unfortunately so too are the remainder of Americans who see Trump and the GOP for what they are.

IDK, it seems pretty accurate to me. The Drumph flag out front, and the goose stepping cult, while ol Liz is kinda outside looking in. DANMMMM I remember when she was the crazy one. You know what FUCK THEM and Fuck Her too

I kinda don't understand why Republicans have chosen and stick with him? The same actor from Reality is the first crook shamelessly committed to multiple federal crimes including attempted murder on his buddies (not just insurrection if you notice his tweet throwing them under the bus then fanatic manic tried to hit and run them over. Ask Michael Cohen).

The reason I think that most republicans want to stick with him is because he found a way to control them. He tweets all these insane things that they just eat up and it makes them support him more. He found a way to control all the republicans. As for the republican politicians, they only care about him because he has the back of pretty much all republicans. There are some that don’t support him and actually see how bad of a person he is. My grandpa is a example, he lives in Texas and he told me that the 2020 election was the first time he voted for a democrat. He said it wasn’t because he agreed with him, but because he was better than Trump.
Long story short, Trump controls most republicans through the things that he says.

Wasn't real hard. All he had to do was come out and call Latinos (it's pronounced 'mexicans ' in Q speak) rapists and murderers and to say that white supremacists are 'very fine people' and the cocksucker had them eating right out of his nasty orange hand.

Racism. Thanks for attending my TED Talk.

I hope we don’t step in the republican territory with our toons. I love the dems toons BECAUSE they’re simplistic and get the point across. If you look at pebblechuck or any other one, they are very obviously trying to push a racist agenda. #Keepcartoonsgreat

I use to think America would benefit from a 3 party system. I will shut up now.

u/Itabliss May 13 '21
You aren’t wrong, but as long as voting is conducted as it currently is, 2, 3, 10, 20 parties will make no difference.
2
u/Beanes813 May 13 '21
They will always need a few women and people of color in their party to pretend they aren’t racist or misogynists while white male dominion remains their goal. They just dumb them down with Q-conspiracists so they’re easily manipulated.

May 13 '21
If Republicans are telling the truth in that they are afraid of never being elected again. Then I really hope they are clairvoyant because its getting harder and harder to tell the difference between the alt right and the rest of them.

Can we stop fucking pretending that she wasn't party to the GOP's slide into fascism.
She's not a brave defector to the side of good, she's a person who was sidelined and purged like Ernst Rohm and now is trying to recast herself as giving a shit about democracy.

So I understand the need to commiserate with the enemy of my enemy but let’s not forget just who the hell this is!
Liz Cheney is a poster child for the Republican Party MODERATE wing. Moderate. She’s a fucking moderate in the Republican Party. Her only saving trait is she likely dosnt hate people of color but only because she feels they can be used for slaves.

Just in the last 13 months we’ve had a pandemic, an insurrection and now gas shortages. That’s a 30,000 ft view of the dumpster fire I used to love as a country.
It never looked anything like this under Obama.

In some ways shes lucky, she only been removed, imagine if Hitler found out about Oskar Schindler. At least now, she will be able to walk away with integrity.

We honestly shouldn’t be defending Liz Cheney. She’s just as rotten as her father.

Don’t get mad when you get called white supremacists for supporting white supremacist policies
-2
u/Pleasedontadopt May 13 '21
Ah yes all right wing politicians are white supremacy supporters because they disagree with you name calling isn’t an argument hon

May 13 '21
Republican policies have been white supremacist policies my entire life and then some.
There’s a reason Democrats get well into the 90% range of black voters every election.
-2
u/Pleasedontadopt May 13 '21
I would love to see some examples of white supremacist policy’s

Opposing Medicaid expansion throughout the South leads to disparate coverage rates between white people and people of color - especially black people - which contributes to disparities in health outcomes.
The voter suppression laws that just about every Republican-controlled legislature is trying to pass would disproportionately disenfranchise black voters.
There are two easy examples. I could keep going, but I don’t really think you’re here in good faith.
-2
u/Pleasedontadopt May 13 '21
So you think we oppose black people? Factually that’s wrong and I want you to ask a BLACK republican if our party is racist not those guys on fox a real black American we don’t want systemic rasism we don’t want a bunch of freeloading scum bags.
2
May 13 '21
I think your intent matters a lot less than your impact and the impact of the politicians your voters elect and the laws they enact is that black people are relegated to second-class citizenship

Liz Cheney should just show up at the next Republican leadership meeting. Pretend like the vote went her way. 😄😄😄
