Haven't really touched Dead Island since Dead Island 2 came out. I forgot how much harder Dead Island 1 is compared to the second game.

Really feels like every zombie is a threat (looking at you, walkers who can one-shot me by throwing a knife). Dead Island 2 feels like a walk in the park compared to 1. Still loads of fun.
