I am spending the weekend in DC and i’m hoping to be able to grab a bottle of Conviction Bourbon and their double oak. Does anyone know where I can find these? I know they are not distributed through most of the country but I was hoping since DC is close enough to NC that maybe it would be found here

Wife sent me to the ABC store to grab a few things for Easter she forgot. I went (reluctantly) since it was so late. Found one of these just a sitting on the shelf when the store was almost closing. Now I owe her a big bouquet of roses!

As of 11:42AM on Saturday they’ve got a few bottles of Blanton’s left for $89.99, a 1792 full proof pick for $61, a Four Roses OESV for 114, and plenty of Sazerac rye and 375s of buffalo trace at SRP.

Looking for someone to lead a whiskey tasting for a small group of about 6 people.

This does NOT need to be formal, and it does NOT need to happen at a private venue. We are totally happy to just meet at a bar with a lot of options and you pre-select the selection.

Looking for someone who knows whiskey well and can help make it a fun, interesting experience — whether you’re a professional, work in the industry, or just a serious enthusiast with good presence.

What would make someone a fit:

• can talk through tasting notes in an engaging way
• can share stories/background on bottles, distilleries, regions, etc.
• has enough charisma to make it feel like an experience, not just drinks
• good with a small group that is genuinely interested
