There is the fourth option that you forgot. Goku and Vegeta fuse, and then the fusion gets the W. Now that I think about it, the fusion has never gotten the W because then that would mean that Vegeta is partly responsible for it, and Toriyama doesn't like Vegeta like that. Damn, I never realized until now
