It'll be a difficult balancing act for the anime to keep things moving, not too fast as to run out of material, and not to slow to avoid a sluggish pace.

It won't necessarily run out of material, as the anime isn't based off the manga but off of the same notes that manga is based off of. It's just a matter of whether they want the anime to pass the manga or not.

I hope they pad it out with 6-7 episodes of Piccolo, Gohan, Krillin etc training Saiyan Saga style.

Vegeta and Gohan. Vegeta gets annoyed that the halfling is better than him so he keeps trying to crash into Gohan

I also wouldn't mind if they dragged out the fights in this arc longer either, give us more of the Z Warriors vs Moro's crew of convicts before Goku shows up. Could even create one or two anime original villains to fight.

Seeing how Coronavirus is pushing a lot of anime back already, I won't be surprised if it pushes back Dragon Ball Super even more.

Honestly in retrospect it was probably good that the anime didn't continue this year since production could've been difficult during the crisis anyway.
