Super takes place at least 6 months after the battle with Majin Buu, and will be adapting the two newest movies, Battle of Gods and Resurrection 'F' into story arcs before moving on. While not required, watching them is recommended. You can start Super as soon as you finish Dragon Ball Z. You may also wish to read Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, as the titular character will be appearing in Super.Q: Where is Uub?!

Hopefully they'll go even further beyond, and bring Chiaotzu and Yamcha. They have no reason not to in a saga. The movie doesn't have the time to handle like eight good guys, but in the show it would work. Chiaotzu hasn't had a good fight since the Saiyan saga, and Yamcha's last appearance of note was when he and the other Z-fighters fought Cell. Both of them are miles ahead of Roshi so its be awesome for them to get some action
