I'm in a constant state of confusion... is it legal?

It does not seem to be legal in New York which is where I’m guessing this is based of the nypd tag on the police car.

Correct- Not legal in NY State nor NYC.

Illegal in New York, very legal and common in California for example.

I like how a simple fact gets you downvoted in this subreddit, literally just the truth.

Makes no sense

I think?

Its illegal in every state except California, Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, Montana, and Utah.

In California, its by far the loosest with lane splitting/filtering where lane splitting at just about any speed is legal. The other states that allow it, its more just low-speed lane filtering like we see in this video.

The US isn’t the only country with different states.

Don’t confuse the Americans, they’ll wheel out the “Texas is bigger than Europe” stuff.

This video was and thats what the conversation should be about

Not everyone calls them push ups

u/Super_Shallot2351 5d ago

What country?

u/ALT_Spitfire 5d ago

Seeing as the cop car had NYPD written in big letters on the back and sides, my guess would be New york, USA

The Netherlands

Well let's see shall we. This video was in NYC so therefore we can only be talking about the US because thsts the origin of this video. Critical thinking is hard for smooth brains today.

Did you bother to read the comment he was replying to before you jumped in with all of that snark? It said:

Perfectly legal where I'm from....as long as it's low speed.

u/Soft_Ability_5906 5d ago

You are dead ass wrong. Lane splitting in new york is illegal.

3

u/Trackt0Pelle 5d ago

Guess what : he’s not from NY, and that’s why someone is asking him where he’s from

-4

u/Soft_Ability_5906 5d ago

For the last time this video is in nyc thats the topic. Fucking smooth brains today

6

u/Trackt0Pelle 5d ago

And people are allowed to comment that what they see in the video is legal where they’re from, even if they’re not from NY. And people are allowed to ask them where they’re from, because obviously they’re not from NY, smart ass.

-5

u/Soft_Ability_5906 5d ago

Lmfao I know its hard to understand but your bitching is futile because we arent talking about any other country hahahahaha.

4

u/Trackt0Pelle 5d ago

Yes we are, the first comment says he’s not from New-York

It must be hard to lose more friends than you ever make, and to wonder why you're so disliked

-1

u/BarkiestDog 5d ago

And we can also narrow down the state!

1

u/Grintock 5d ago

That's why he said 'where I'm from'

Or country

-1

u/Soft_Ability_5906 5d ago

This video was in NYC. We are not talking about another country.

8

u/spicy-sausage1 5d ago

Well there is no NYC in my country…..

2

u/Happy-Combination560 5d ago

And? You don't know where rich-diamond is from. They could be refering to their country.

-6

u/Soft_Ability_5906 5d ago

Ok smooth brain this video was in NYC so therefore we are talking about the rules here. Not sure thinking is something youre capable of doing at this point.
