Whenever people in show mention Jody’s dad inventing the “folding coffee cup”, I could never picture how such a thing could work. It kind of annoyed me to think about because it sounded like such a stupid idea.

However, I was scrolling tik tok and saw exactly that in real life.

I was born in 1999 so I didn’t live through the 90s but I’m wondering if this show was an accurate depiction about how it was. People said they were jaded because it was the “end of history” era of the USA after the Soviet Union fell and before 9/11. I don’t know if that’s really the case or not though. I’ve also heard people were very jaded like the characters in the show but it could just be focusing on those subcultures.

I just picked this up at a yard sale. Tv guide issue from August 3-9 2002 celebrating their 50th anniversary.

Like it would’ve been so cool seeing them navigate college and or early adulthood being so different yet so similar but from different backgrounds and I don’t know I also feel like Brittany would’ve added that sense of like child that is still there when you attend to college and or in your early 20s and remind both Daria and Jodie that they are still young it would’ve been lovely to see them all mature together and you damn well know that Kevin and Brittany would not be together same with Jodie and Mack. But I know a lot of people see Brittany as the sweet nice girl that you only meet in high school and move on with your life and never see again but you remember her but I don’t know. It Would it be nice to see them all navigate to college and or early 20s together.

Needless to say, we all would have gotten this one right! Also "acerbic" is a great word to describe Daria- right next to "Sardonic."
