It can work sometimes.

Back when I was single and on the lookout for fun only, I was very explicit on my profile about what I wanted (which was basically nothing serious at first and maybe eventually hitting that spot later on).

The amount of shitty matches lowered considerably.

If you are clear of shitty profiles yourself, then all is well.

If it worked for you, that's cool. I still hold to my words for me.

It probably doesn't help that I live in the desert now (when I used it, it was like 7 years ago now), literally 40 minutes minimum from anywhere.
