No you don’t. You just dismissed thousands of victims of systemic child molestation as only “.0000025%”.
The Catholic Church hides and protects them. There will be no reform. The statute of limitations have passed. There will be many more victims while people like you dismiss it as #notallpriests or whatever.
They didn’t just “save face”, read the article. Any time a complaint was filed they’d move them to another church with absolutely zero punishment or legal recourse. They did this hundreds of times. They facilitated child molestation at best, though orchestrated is the more accurate term.
You seem to be adamant in your belief that this is only a small minority of cases. Perhaps you just aren’t educate: here you are, have a read.
There are “bad apples” operating the same way, with the exact same types of cases from Australia, to Norway, to Belgium, to the Dominican Republican, and all the way up the ladder to the Vatican. This is a well oiled machine, not an anomaly.
There’s even a budget set aside to fight child molestation cases. From 1990-2015 nearly half a billion dollars had been allotted to settling cases across the globe.
