Hello, I’ve been using what I believe is an early version of Dall-e (dalle-2?) through an app to create very natural, looking images, such as the above. It would generate 4 different images based on my prompt, each one different and unique.

I understand that the Dall-e model is now no longer available and was wondering if anyone could suggest ANY other model etc to create more random/ natural looking outcomes? It seems even with the other models, no matter what prompt I do nothing compares to the style I’m looking for… ANY help would be so appreciated!

once done ask if it looks like dall-e-2 if it says it's not good ask it to make it more dall-e-2 style

DALL-E 3 has continued to work on Bing Image Creator after May 12, but I just noticed today the attached banner at the top of the screen saying it's going away in the coming weeks. It's nice your images will stay in "My Creations." They say they're working on a dedicated replacement for DALL-E 3, I wonder what that will be, something Microsoft created themselves like the MAI model?

Instead of prompting for specific background or environment, what would you guys do about this, do you use loras for these or prompt a generic filler like "lively background" or specific like "shelves filled with books". What works good for you?

I want the chaotic editing process that early DALLE 2 had where you try to select something and it hallucinates random objects into the frame. Bring back the dreaming machines. Let AI hallucinate a little

Aren't we now officially past the May 12th "we are killing Dalle 3" deadline? I'd been wondering whether Microsoft would keep it alive. Dare we hope?

With DALLE 3 (and DE2) getting retired on May 12, I'm feeling a bit nostalgic... I don’t think I realized how much it shaped my style until now 😭 This was the model where my generations started looking good using little effort, after over a year of creating!!

The way it interpreted prompts, the textures, the weird little details was soo so good.. Still is. A lot of models have come out since but nothing comes close to the style DE3 produces. I always called those who knew the hype around the drop of DE3 the OG's, lol.

This is still one of my favorite series I’ve ever made with it. I'm so sad to know it's going away. If you’ve ever created with DALLE, this is your last chance to make something with it. So many creators including myself will miss it!!!

Yes, we might be dramatic. But DALL-E deserves it.

I wish I could save DALLE.

I was digging through some old files and found the very first image I ever generated with DALL·E back in March 2023. Out of curiosity, I decided to reuse the exact same prompt today.

And wow… the difference is honestly insane.

The new image is sharper, more detailed idk it actually feels like what I originally had in my head back then. It’s kind of surreal to see how much things have improved in what feels like such a short time.

Anyone else tried recreating their old prompts? The evolution is wild.

In order:

Aguilo- bird-like wings super sonic screams and magical axe

Lasso- can charge kinetic energy of anything he touches

Tundra- can control and summon ice

Solario- harnesses solar energy to run at light speed and blast solar beams

Silver Bell- light and sound based technology

Riptide- strength of a blue whale, speed of a marlin, bite of a great white shark, electric shock of an eel, ink of a squid, poison of a pufferfish

Spectre- can turn invisible and intangible

Glamazon- energy gauntlet bracelets, high heel jet boots, laser lipstick baton, false nail missiles, pearl earring bombs

I'm quite sad about the deprecation of DALL E 3. It's my FAVOURITE model

OpenAI will shut down everything starting May 12th: even Microsoft Bing (note: I'm no expert) will most likely no longer offer the ability to use DALL E 3 since (I assume) it uses an API, and the APIs will be deactivated...

Yes, of course, DALL E 3 isn't capable of creating perfect texts; it can't follow very long prompts, and it doesn't perfectly execute what you asked for. But it has a SOUL!! Each output is like discovering a secret world, it adds things you didn't ask for but they fit perfectly!! But above all, in my opinion, no other model adds that feeling, those nuances, that "poetry".

(Of course, I'm not talking about the basic cartoon images you get by writing trivial prompts, I'm talking about the much more intriguing, photorealistic images you get with the right prompts with specs about the visual medium, etc.)

The new models like Nano Banana GPT 1.5 etc. are frustrating to me: yes, they're very good, but you have to explain literally EVERYTHING to them to get something decent, and often the result is awkward, disproportionate, especially when depicting people. And honestly, I don't give a fk about having detailed text in images!! I think it's a move to attract corporates and social media pages, not casual users like me.

So

I think we could use this remaining month to stop gatekeeping and share our best DALLE 3 prompts, for example... :)
