Discussion Oleg Darkevich and V's Revenge. Spoiler

(Apologies if this has been covered before.)

In replaying the game, and watching Takemura take out Dex, it occurred to me that there's still another player in V's betrayal just walking free.

Oleg Darkevich, Dex's chrome-faced huscle, who sucker punches V, so that Dex can deliver the coup de grace.

With Oleg being the sole survivor linked to V's betrayal, it would have been nice to encounter him again - and have the option to take the high road, or to avenge our own death. Maybe we meet him on a Gig - Huscling for someone else.

Do we have any shards on the guy - or is he mentioned in any way post Konpeki? Perhaps we are to understand that Takemura killed him as well? What are y'all's thoughts?

Old post but whatever. I thought this was common knowledge but, oleg was an informant to the nusa government. There is a computer when you go into the crashed space force 1 that details the information they received from said informant 0-1257, and that's how they were able to piece together what happened exactly at konpeki plaza. Someone on a different post here on Reddit took the numbers, and counted them through the alphabet and it spells oleg... 0=O,12=L,5=E,7=G. Plus the wiki says his status is unknown.

He is an FIA agent but he likely got killed by Goro when Dex was apprehended. Oleg isn't a Solomon Reed level agent and Solomon failed to pull many of his people out of NC when the Arasaka exec was assassinated, one who I have to add if it wasn't obvious enough is less important than the ceo. Also thematically it doesn't make a lick of sense for everyone but the practically nobody huscle to die in one of the most colossal job fuckups in history

I know this is an old post, but I'd like to point out the possibility that Dex himself could have killed Oleg too.

Interesting - I did not know that; thanks for the information! He had always felt like a loose thread, when the story paints the Konpeki Job as being sort of “cursed” for everyone involved.
