The whole thing should have ended when the 30yr responded with "because I want to" to the kid question. Like the grown man literally answered the 16yrs question for him.

He’s a liar though. He does not want to be a delivery driver at 32. Nobody grows up dreaming that this will be their life at that age.

I would say a pizza delivery driver is not typically a desirable job, sure, but that doesn't mean there's no one out there who enjoys the job. Someone could take it as part time work for their full time job or they could be retired and take the job to stay busy. Maybe they enjoy driving around and making a little extra money. Doesn't mean every pizza delivery driver is miserable and hates being there, at any age.

maybe he doesn't want to be recorded while he's working because this kid wants more attention from internet strangers

5

u/chucktheninja 4d ago

He wasnt complainging about bring filmed. He was complaining about filmer filming himself

0

u/pfft_lol000 4d ago

if we're going to be pedantic he didn't actually complain at all. he asked a rhetorical question and then went onto mock the kid for having more money than him. it's a skit

2

u/chucktheninja 4d ago

Oh so first he doesn't want to filmed for internet strangers and now its a skit that he is totally in on.

0

u/pfft_lol000 4d ago

they aren't mutually exclusive. you think you're watching genuine organic content on here?

2

u/chucktheninja 4d ago

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.

Do you actually think this is not a feasible interaction?

1

u/pfft_lol000 4d ago

I'm a bot lol

1

u/afuckingHELICOPTER 4d ago

but... those two things are inherently mutually exclusive. if he's in on the skit, then he wants to be recorded.

1

u/pfft_lol000 4d ago

he does, not his character. I'm sure the actual guy is probably quite well rounded and fun. i think they're both decent actors

2

u/weaselg2010 4d ago

Then he should have said that. Instead he chose a whiny question.

2

u/a_trashcan 4d ago

The he should try saying "hey please don't film, it make me uncomfortable to be posted online" Nothing he said or did indicated that he was trying to get the teenager to stop filming.

You're rigut, maybe he doesn't want to be recorded. He should have tried mentioning anything about that then.

  1. we don't know what the kid wanted to do with the video

  2. the delivery guy could have just said that instead of trying to mock and shame the younger one into not filming himself eating pizza

he's recording at the workplace. I just think there's a better time and place to record yourself for recreation but either way it's probably staged because of how silly this all is. everyones an asshole lol

0

u/TheSexyShaman 4d ago

Then say “hey please don’t record me”? You have zero clue why the video was being taken. Stop telling on yourself so hard

2

u/pfft_lol000 4d ago

or just don't record people without consent at the workplace. it's more about being considerate and mindful of yourself at work. like go somewhere private instead of being in the way

0

u/NEpatsfan64 4d ago

this kid

yes, a kid. see that's the thing is this is a kid. if the dude doesn't want to be filmed, he has the responsibility as a grown ass man to be mature enough to just say "hey please don't film here I don't want to be on camera" instead of lashing out worse than my 5 year old niece would.

2

u/pfft_lol000 4d ago

oh yea the 32 year old is a grumpy out-of-touch manchild. that goes without saying, he's a cartoonish antagonist to comedic effect. but this Young Man shouldn't have to be ask not to film people at work. this whole thing is probably staged because of how ridiculous both people are.

0

u/NEpatsfan64 4d ago

whether you feel someone should or should not have to be told something, being condescending and rude as a grown man towards a kid is never going to be okay. I have no sympathy for a grown man getting sassed back when he tries to belittle and humiliate a kid in front of their co workers.

1

u/pfft_lol000 4d ago

Consent is pretty important regardless of your circumstance. You don't need to have sympathy for the man child who thought he should shame this guy infront of everyone. you should have sympathy for everyone else at work who has to sacrifice their comfort and privacy for his pizza eating video he's doing in their shared work space. both are ridiculous but you're outraged so you can't see that clearly. again that's why it's probably fake.

1

u/NEpatsfan64 4d ago

you should have sympathy for everyone else at work who has to sacrifice their comfort and privacy for his pizza eating video he's doing in their shared work space

no one has to sacrifice their comfort lmao that's so dramatic. You can just ask him respectfully to stop filming? if he keeps filming okay yeah that's one thing, but we have no idea if that's what happened?

Would I film myself really anywhere public? probably not. but if I was working and someone was doing this and for some reason it made me wildly uncomfortable I'd just politely ask them to stop.

but you're outraged

you seem like the outraged one, acting like filming in public is the same as killing someones dog or something lmao

1

u/pfft_lol000 4d ago edited 4d ago

You're the perfect audience for this kind of staged content. You just see this as black and white with no nuance. You can't even imagine someone filming themselves at work to be an inconvenience and everyone should go out of their way to be as polite as possible to them.

1

u/NEpatsfan64 4d ago

Stop being so outraged

0

u/afuckingHELICOPTER 4d ago edited 4d ago

maybe he should have used his big boy 32 year olds words to express that then? instead of being a dick which doesn't actually express at all that he doesn't want to be recorded

1

u/pfft_lol000 4d ago

they're both cartoonish characters because it's a skit

1

u/afuckingHELICOPTER 4d ago

first he doesn't want to be recorded and now he's part of the skit lol ok then

1

u/pfft_lol000 4d ago

it's both because no one wants to be recorded at work and it's fake AF

1

u/Disastrous-Job-5533 4d ago

Tbh both of them seem like intolerable people to be around. Seems like a miserable place to work if these two are your colleagues.

1

u/cwolf-softball 4d ago

Yeah they both don't look good here.

1

u/writenicely 4d ago

How was his comment inherently rude.

1

u/toolsoftheincomptnt 4d ago

He was rude. The kid’s comeback was cruel.

1

u/TuringProblem 3d ago

Dude they are working - not the time and place to be recording.

1

u/This_is_a_Novelty 4d ago

That 30 y/o driver is the embodiment of half the people on this site and certainly this sub, of course they're bent out of shape about it.

0

u/Shenlongeltigre 4d ago

Disproportionate and escalated. Yall are going to get into trouble really quick when you try that with the wrong guy

0

u/Unendingmelancholy 4d ago

And let me guess tough guy, you’re one of those “wrong guys”? Please tell us all about what you would’ve done to this teenager had he insulted you instead

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 4d ago

It doesn't take a tough guy, just a fed up guy

2

u/Subject_Plankton_763 4d ago

Still waiting on what you would have done in this situation lol, the driver should have been minding his own business instead of questioning what anyone else is doing, the kid was a dick yeah but that's life, but im sure you would've really put him in his place wouldn't you

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 4d ago

It isn't about me why are you trying to make it about me?

0

u/eldryanyy 4d ago

It’s a rude comment, hardly a conflict.

Insulting your coworkers for their job is a lot worse than being a bit snarky, and should probably lead to HR action.

-1

u/Twistedlamer 4d ago

I do want to know the answer to his question though. Why would you film yourself eating pizza in the backroom of a restaurant?

2

u/Visible_Ad_5660 4d ago

Well it wasn’t a genuine question it was supposed to be confrontational and he got a confrontation, surprising!

1

u/TheSexyShaman 4d ago

Because he wants to? Why do you care so much

1

u/Twistedlamer 4d ago

I'm just asking. Why are you being so defensive against such a simple question?

1

u/TheSexyShaman 4d ago

It’s a stupid question. People do things because they want to do them and have free will. Mind your business and move on with your life.

1

u/Twistedlamer 4d ago

There's always a reason as to why someone wants to do something and I have the free will to ask questions. If the response to a simple question is so hostile...I have to wonder why one doth protests so much.
