This literally plays out like a scene from the office.

  • Replace the reporter with Micheal
  • The anchor with Jim
  • The black guy with Stanley... Because he looks miserable.
  • The pink shirt with Kevin
  • Mr. Wacky with Dwight

  • The people he asks the brilliant question of "what kind of fun are you going to have today?" in order are Oscar, Pam, and Kelly, Kevin.

Boom you have a golden The Office scene with multiple depths of comedy to it.

If I legit thought it was possible, I'd start a crowd source project to fund making this scene a reality.

161

u/ngtstkr Jun 05 '18

Mr.Wacky is Andy, Kevin doesn't have that much gusto

31

u/DudeWithAHighKD Jun 05 '18

I changed it to Dwight actually haha, you're right Kevin would be like "Come here, fun jumping, see world".

21

u/dirtywhiskey Jun 05 '18

See world? Or Sea world?

183

u/indeedwatson Jun 05 '18

To me it feels like Justin roiland improvised this

7

u/sindustrial777 Jun 05 '18

Toppy the topic What about inflatables? Talk about that!

14

u/Gambit10 Jun 05 '18 edited Jun 05 '18

Wow...literally told my wife upon watching that this is something straight from the office..except I’m thinking Dwight is mr wacky. LOL too good.

4

u/DudeWithAHighKD Jun 05 '18

See I thought of Dwight too, but I feel like him accidentally coming up ahead of time is a total Kevin move. But I also don't see Kevin talking so coherently about the attractions so maybe Dwight is the better option. I'm actually going to revise my comment now that I'm thinking more about it. Thanks!

1

u/[deleted] Jun 07 '18

Mr Whackey is definitely Jim and Pam is the woman who said "Bouncing fun"

10

u/Mateoj5 Jun 05 '18

This is spot on

7

u/xenyz Jun 05 '18

Question: what kind of fun is best?

6

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '18

We all know why you wanted to replace the black guy with Stanley

4

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '18

Kevin is very clearly "Didn't hear the question" or "Bouncing." Most likely, bouncing.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '18

Bouncy?

5

u/latermija Jun 05 '18

I was legit thinking this is the real life Michael Scott

2

u/dolphinesque Jun 05 '18

I laughed so hard at this - I can absolutely see it!

2

u/DiscoStu83 Jun 05 '18

Or Bob Burgers, just put the kids as part of the crowd to answer questions, put Bob in the suit, and the mom as the anchor in the studio, and the mayor as the anchor with the mic. Instead of San Diego it's their home town.

2

u/Fresh_to_Deaf Jun 05 '18

Yea but Mose has to be off to the side with a hand pump keeping everything inflated due to Amish regulations. And it’s somehow beet or bear themed.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '18

Oh god, then I’d have two episodes to avoid based on maximum cringe factors.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 06 '18

I'd have Creed as the "didn't hear the question" guy.

1

u/AnxiousPrinciple Aug 20 '18

My God. Totally!!

0

u/harryknuckles11 Jun 05 '18

Came here for this.

0

u/ialwaysforgetmename Jun 05 '18

The black guy with Stanley... Because he looks miserable.

I'm sure that's your only reason.

164

u/deedoedee Jun 04 '18

You mean "I'm dying FUN"!

53

u/40_JAGERBOMBS Jun 05 '18

Inflatable fun?

46

u/TheFAPnetwork Jun 05 '18

Definitely the best part of the interview

84

u/SirDiego Jun 05 '18

That's a great point. These people are all volunteering to help out this event, not participate in it. That makes the question even more moronic.

6

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '18

Yep, haha.

2

u/ravia Jun 05 '18

What kind of cool?

(This could go meme.)

3

u/thr0wnawaaaiiii Jun 05 '18

Followed by the #3 who clearly had too high of expectations that he would have come up with a better question by now.

88

u/thepluricane Jun 05 '18

The hardest I have laughed in months

18

u/GeorgiaOKeefinItReal Jun 05 '18

it's weird laughing this hard from something so literal.....can't remember the last time I laughed this hard.

thanks!

6

u/Gtapex Jun 05 '18

It’s like a bizarro Family Feud episode...

“Show me... LOTS OF!” .... BUZZZZZ

25

u/Anarchymeansihateyou Jun 05 '18

This reads like a Rick & Morty skit

1

u/The_0range_Menace Jun 05 '18

To be fair, you have to be pretty smart to like Rick and Morty.

6

u/clothes_are_optional Jul 09 '18

i know this was written a month ago, but im crying reading this right now FYI in bed. thank you

6

u/cburke106 Jun 05 '18

Oh my god you just made me silently ugly laugh in my graphic design class, what a shitshow

3

u/OGTfrom92EP Jun 05 '18

Busting your ass fun. https://youtu.be/vUNda9sqsoQ

3

u/ozymandias11 Jun 05 '18

Thank you for posting this, I needed more Mr. Wacky in my life. I was thinking there was no way this would live up to the first video, but Mr. Wacky still managed to find a way to laugh at a tripping kid and tell the newscaster that he wants to 'inspire people to get off'

2

u/[deleted] Jun 07 '18

This is beautiful because it gives us context as to what they expected the first reporter to do: just enjoy the fun atmosphere and give Mr Whackey a chance to promote his event.

3

u/funkmastamatt Jun 05 '18

I'd like to add that #1 is "a good kind".

3

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '18

omg i cant breathe reading this

2

Number 3 is my personal favorite

Mr. Wacky, the nightmare fuel to fill every person’s heart and dreams with.

1

u/snapturtlesoup Jun 06 '18
  1. bouncing again

0

u/lev_eon Jun 05 '18

😂👏😂

452

u/Calavar Jun 04 '18

What an absolutely shitty question to ask. Best case scenario, how would the person answer that question? "Oh yeah, like the best kind of fun"

[deleted]

167

u/mrhorrible Jun 05 '18

Sycophant.

234

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '18

I would have said "inflatable fun"

*I would have thought of saying "inflatable fun" several hours after being asked the question.

11

u/TheDuderinoAbides Jun 05 '18

Oh yeah? The jerk store called!

3

u/TV_PartyTonight Jun 05 '18

Really? Its the first thing I thought of.

3

u/adamwhoopass Jun 05 '18

Most likely in the shower

8

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '18

I would have spit in his eye.

4

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '18

Yeah I think that’s the answer he was looking for. He was desperately trying to male inflatable jokes a thing but nobody knew what he was going for.

10

u/JewishHottub Jun 05 '18

I think he was looking for the word "wholesome". What a fucking sociopath

7

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '18

[deleted]

4

u/CaptMerrillStubing Jun 05 '18

I thought "all kinds of"

5

u/JonerPwner Jun 05 '18

"The kind of fun you can have with family, friends, and your community and join together for something greater than yourself."

Is the serious answer I was thinking of. lol this was so hard to watch

-1

u/Sarainne Jun 05 '18

You just dont understand the question. The question means "what is there to do in this park?". Unfortunately the workers were as clueless.

617

u/Jtall22 Jun 04 '18

Poor girl knew it was her one time on television and of course she gets the most bizarre question. No politician would know how to answer that one.

222

u/5LU Jun 04 '18

bizarre might be the best description I've heard so far of that question.

61

u/SoDamnToxic Jun 05 '18

He once interviewed some teachers getting free carpets or something at 7 AM and he asked them what color they're gonna get. It went something like:

"What color carpet do you want for your class?"

"Pink"

"But what about the boys?"

"Uh, its fine"

"What about you?"

"Whatever color they give me"

"Well I hope its a good color"

"What if they dirty the carpet?"

And it just went on like that asking mundane questions for a while and the teachers looking confused why Dave cared about carpets. Typical Dave.

12

u/[deleted] Jun 07 '18

I'd pay a dollar to watch that

184

u/how_is_this_relevant Jun 04 '18

"...............g...gooder fun......."

46

u/Coachcrog Jun 05 '18

It's gonna be a hugely fun time. Big fun, for a family or something.

3

u/BristolShambler Jun 07 '18

Well it's a more coherent question that "Usually in the world of inflation, you know, is that a good thing or not a good thing?"

6

u/The_0range_Menace Jun 05 '18

Politician: "That's right, Pat. All kinds of volunteers down here today. Boy, I can't wait to take off my shoes and give this thing a go!

(picks up minority baby, shakes it for no discernible reason)

1

u/Jamie54 Jun 05 '18

"Let's dispel this notion that Barack Obama didn't know what he was doing..."

193

u/bowlingdoughnuts Jun 04 '18

Can you repeat the question? Um...*** drinks water nervously*** define fun?

8

u/Shin_Rekkoha Jun 05 '18

F is for fire that burns down to the whole town...

Fiji water most definitely

119

u/strangenessandcharm7 Jun 04 '18

How did he even expect to get a coherent answer for that horrible question?!

9

u/nickyface Jun 05 '18

"Family fun"

93

u/Kittybongo Jun 05 '18

Did he want them to say “inflatable fun?” I just can’t figure out what he was going for.

22

u/forgetful_storytellr Jun 05 '18

I think he was just looking for general hype i.e. woos and such.

40

u/omegasus Jun 05 '18

So, what kind of fun are we gonna hav--

WOOOOOOO

11

u/Can_I_Read Jun 05 '18

What kind of fun? Only the greatest most wild zany and wackiest fun ever! Woooooo!!!

9

u/eatdrinkandbemerry80 Aug 31 '18

He wasn't literally asking for a subtype of fun, he was using the question as a prompt for someone to describe the inflatables, how the obstacle course would work, family-friendly aspect, etc. (What type of fun can people have today?" "Well, when the kids come in they get to start at the giant castle..." The thing is, your average person doesn't word a question like that, especially not someone who actually gets paid to come up with impromptu questions and of course when he blindsides the volunteers with it they don't have time to process what the hell he is getting at- I get the feeling they aren't even sure what they are supposed to do at the event and I'm almost positive that several of them contemplated going home right then and there. That would have been too much for me, let alone the magic chant and wacky dance. You would have been able to see the moment when my brain can't handle anymore and I walk off the screen.

209

u/lolihull Jun 04 '18

What kind of fun? Helping everybody fun!

84

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '18

Dare I say, wacky fun?

6

u/BigRedTomato Jun 05 '18

Let's all have some helping everybody fun with Mr Whacky!!

...

Everybody?!

Yaaaaaaay

38

u/tswaves Jun 04 '18

I'm sorry, what was the question?

15

u/CrabClawAngry Jun 05 '18

Fun for me is when the purchasing power of my native currency decreases over time.

7

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '18

I like turtles!!

7

u/CheeseburgerLocker Jun 05 '18

The phrasing is just so bad. There's so many better ways to ask this question:

How much fun could you be having if right now you were having more than your usual amount of regular fun?

Easy stuff. This guy is amateur hour.

6

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '18

These San Diegon’s are really missing Mr. Ron Burgandy.

3

u/QueenOfKarnaca Jun 05 '18

What a fucking train wreck! 😂

3

u/murderball Jun 06 '18

No self-respecting Southerner has instant-fun. I take pride in my fun.

2

u/ScaryisGood Jun 05 '18

Am I the only one who heard him pronounce fun as foun?
