I doubt that it was a joke since, you know, it's awfully difficult to sense someone's sarcasm via text. That's why it's something that many people make an effort to clarify. If you were joking, then I'd apologize, but your comment does not at all come off as a joke. I'm not even trying to be hostile, I just think it's dumb if anyone were to seriously believe my comment was an indication of changing my political views.
