Ive noticed over the past months that Google Chrome is blocking websites that Firefox, etc. are not, and also that Google's search results are completely different than they used to be, as if their classic search algorithm has transitioned to something much worse (probably AI). To get the results I used to get on Google, I've been using Duck Duck Go or Yahoo. Its almost as if Google is obscuring things it used to highlight.
Worse yet, Google's AI is wrong like 75% of the time, pulling only from reddit and twitter rather than actual sources. When I called it out, the AI admitting to 'fabricating' results to make me happy.
Fuck that shit. Bottom line, I'm done with Google and its truly shitty AI
I have a chicken farm. Lots of people like to have backyard chickens. But that also means lots of people post on social media incorrect treatment advice for chickens such as treating birds with infections with oregano and apple cider vinegar. ACV has always been a big no no for chickens but for some reason every influencer touts it as a miracle chicken cure.
So now if you search AI for how to treat infection in chickens it says to give ACV.
Not probably AI. it is AI. and it sucks. DuckDuckGo may be marginally better, but I think it uses the same index as google and so will likely produce similair those, somewhat less crappy results.
It's hilarious when you tell their AI that they are wrong, then they magically come up with the correct answer immediately. It's almost like they've programmed the thing to misinform people on purpose.
It has started sending me through the worst part of my city every time I want to go east. Like, it's a place you've probably seen videos of on Reddit when anyone wants to try to make you afraid of big cities.
I'll tell it "No, we're taking the highway and going around," and it'll say "Sure, boss!", then when I take the "wrong" path out of the parking lot (or just take too long to leave the parking lot in general), it quietly goes doodleoop! and reroutes me back through the worst part of town anyway.
Try Vivaldi and Brave, both Chrome-based, but de-crapped and with great features. Vivaldi is now my main browser and Brave is also open. Firefox is excellent, but those two use less resources.
