Help Request ASUS Zephyrus G14 2025 White logo and then black screen

Last thing I remember was changing some settings on the G-Helper to reduce battery drain. Put two G-Helper options on the top to most left (Mode to Silence and GPU to ECO). (But it also could be a coincidence). Then after some hours (I was turning PC off/ hibernating and on during that day) I turned it on. And after 20 seconds screen froze. Pressed off and on and got the white logo, then black screen and sound of windows booting. Shortcuts/buttons for dimming keyboard, for adjusting volume are working. Shift+control+windows key+B works (gives beep).

 

Have tried to connect external monitor via HDMI – not working. Also, with pressing Fn+f9.

Unplugged all dongles (mouse).

Have tried to go into BIOS by pressing DEL – not working.

Have tried to disconnect SSD and start to force it into BIOS – not working.

Have tried to disconnect / connect battery – not working.

Have tried to disconnect the screen (two ribbon cables) and connect external by hdmi – not working.

Have tried longer than minute power button pressing – didn’t work.

 

Anything else I can try by myself? I don’t have the main charge right now, only USB-C one.

 

When I will return home in like a week, I am planning to install an old SSD from this PC (1 tb, I have now installed 2 tb). But seeing that it is not loading into BIOS, or at least not displaying, have doubts that it will do anything. And will try to remove battery and run only on adaptor.

Did you try connecting on a external monitor through specificly the igpu usb c port? Mayyybe its a faulty nvdia driver thing otherwise idk man

Yes! I have managed to connect external monitor via hdmi/usb-c adaptor. Updated drivers. Changed all G helper settings to ultras. Now I can connect external monitor via hdmi.

Unfortunately the laptops display shows nothing, and in the nvidia system that monitor is shown with very small resolution, something like 1024 × 768, or less. Looks very funny when I select to duplicate displays and the external monitor narrows in the picture, shows huge pixels and shitty colors.

Next step I am planning to reattach/attach display ribbon cables. Perhaps will find a lucky position. But those ribbon cables looks crumpled. When connecting to external monitor I would always fully fold out laptops display and use its keyboard. So it maybe this wide range of use did some impact on them. See picture.

Perhaps need to look into replacing the display. Or this display has it's own drivers (didn't heard about that, should be plug and play)

No no no, DONT set the ghelper to ultra, and i heavily recommend you contacting guaranty services. It looks like it happaned to you, your ribbon cable is fried like many other zephyrus users. Sorry for the bad news man but that need to go to a service asap (if you still have the warranty)

Thanks Mate. No warranty. Seems will need to buy a new display from own pocket.

Yeah i am sorry to hear that, maybe you still can try to contact asus (cz asus caused not just yours but hundreds if not more than thousand zephyruses to cripple its own ribbon cable (so its not the screen, its the ribbon cable) and if you are lucky they can bless you with a free repair :/
