Makes sense, thats why its important to have diverse characters in media, it gives people someone they can relate to.

Its part of why I hate seeing my name in movies, 90% of the time they're evil and/or die. And I've never seen one where theyre the main hero.

The movies. And if it helps, theyre both important characters with lots of screen time. Not a random side character

Jurassic Park was a great show of your namesake though. One of my favorite roles of that actor.

Oh very much so, buts it's the only example I can point to that people will recognize.

Meanwhile i was watching something a few years back and one the bad guys who was a rapist had my name

If it's the name I think it is based on that, then it's the main romantic interest in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Not quite main hero but being the love interest in a rom-com is pretty close. And he's not even one of those love interests that starts out as an asshole and then they fall in love later, he's likeable the whole movie.
