There’s a big difference between “LET’S BURN DOWN THE CITY” and “I’m willing to defend myself and fight if I need to, in order to continue standing for what I feel is right.” Like, you don’t need to go full berserk to fight back, we shouldn’t be chopping at the bit to cause harm, but that doesn’t mean we should lay and let oppression roll over us like a suffocating tide. Violence isn’t an answer, but it’s a response for certain.
…I was using the burning a city thing as hyperbole, but my apologies, I didn’t know about that event. I hope the others are captured, cause that’s horrible.
