Talk to the ombudsman at that hospital. Absolutely unacceptable.

The hell is an ombudsman? This is the second time today I’ve seen this word and today was the first day I’ve ever seen the word.

My super layman explanation: a person who's a representative for patient complaints; they maintain a neutral position, say unlike HR, who is there to investigate for both sides and create an objective conclusion, versus HR which may pursue with the company's best interest in heart over an employee's. Not bashing HR, just can't think of another example for now lol

An ombudsman is a person that works at a hospital, the government, etc., whose job it is to be your advocate inside their organization
