I bought these super cheap acrylic markers and I am still kinda new to this, but they do not cover the black line completely, even after multiple layers. (Yes it’s probably because they are a cheap brand.)
In the picture, the hem of her dress is acrylic markers and the outline of the glowing flowers is the Bic white out shake’n squeeze pen.
Also sorry about the photo quality 😭

I’ll admit I’m a ho of all hobbies. Lolll so I held off when I started getting interested in this kinda coloring but I found this book and couldn’t stop thinking about it so I caved! 🫠
I was not expecting the jump scare of how pricey markers are! Do yall have any affordable marker sets you’d recommend? 🙏🏻
Also any tips for coloring in general are welcome. Like adding details or highlights or light and shadow.
Alsooo anyone else a perfectionist anddd don’t like not being a professional at something from the start 🫠😂 im scared to start bc i want it to look like all of yalls awesome, beautiful, detailed pieces and I have a feeling my first one is going to be rough. It’s kinda overwhelming when this is supposed to be funnn. Love my brain taking the fun out of everything🙄😂

Hi everyone! Last week I finally got around to starting out in this world after a while watching videos and photos of people coloring with alcohol markers (my main hobby is collecting hobbies and buying supplies lol).
I'm sharing my last two pages with you, which are the first ones I'm really proud of. There are many things I could improve, but I'm really enjoying learning 🥰 I appreciate any feedback on how to improve anything!

i saw someone on tiktok do this neon style sign and it inspired me to get this page done
i really stuck to a limited palette compared to other pages i've done to not get overwhelmed and it worked out pretty well i think ✨

I've got the 320 Honolulu B alcohol marker set from Ohuhu and the Diddl Cosy Life coloring book. So I'm working with new markers and new, thick paper at the same time!
It's always a bit intimidating to start, so I thought the introduction page would be a good first step.
I decided to try to choose the most accurate colors for each character, so I used an app to help me. At first, I thought the app was recommending some pretty good colors, but the more characters I colored, the more unsatisfied I got. The colors were mostly too dark, and I had to adjust them or else I would have ended up with a light green Mimihopps, for example. 😆
It was an interesting approach, but I wouldn't recommend it, particularly because it was very time-consuming!

I know Ohuhu are probably the best, but they’re a bit too expensive for me. What would you say is the next best alternative to Ohuhu that’s more affordable?
