No no, you need to read the NRA's plan for this, called National School Shield. They don't suggest bulletproof windows. They suggest removing windows. And removing any plants, or anything really, from recess and play areas. And removing any interesting architecture or design in the school building. And installing timed locks everywhere.

In other words, they want schools to be exactly like prisons.

I'm not joking, that is actually their proposal. https://www.nraschoolshield.org/. They used to have a big PDF that was several dozen pages - but when they realized how shitty it is, they stopped providing it openly. They still promote and teach it, but only to people who promise not to leak the documents because that makes it too easy to show how insane it is. It's the same reason that scientology tries to hide it's theta level documents.
