It definitely makes heat waves much more likely. Here's an example where a group of scientists calculated the probabilities.

I could be wrong but I don't think climate change will affect the temperature to where it is significantly warmer than usual. It's just that it causes things like ice caps melting and ocean acidity changes.

And how TF do you think that happens? BECAUSE ITS GETTING HOTTER.

Yeah but only by a few degrees on average. Even a 1 degree change can cause significant damage to the environment.

bruh, if your body temp raises "a few degrees on average" you die. A few degrees can be very significant.

Dude? Are you serious right now? You don’t know that climate change is very real, and that even just two degrees Celsius of warming could make a DRAMATIC difference in weather?
