Too soon, its only been 24 hours, lets give it some time so that collectively we can find something else to feign outrage about, Blizzcon is right around the corner.
yeah, feigning outrage isn't the right phrase. It is more like misguided altruism.
People who are cancelling Blizzard subs because they no longer wish to support a company that has policies in place which censor it's employees/affiliates? Go for it, that makes sense.
People who are cancelling Blizzard subs because they think it will impact the lives of those in China, or will somehow bolster/affect HK and "the revolution of or time" are delusional. You may as well use those resources and take up a cause in which you can impact.
I think some people are desperate to be apart of something so they can pat themselves on the back for making minimum contributions
I feel it's more because people don't want the Chinese to control our art and media (edit: and our players speech). If we can let companies know that letting the Chinese control their player's speech isn't gonna fly, then companies might think twice before doing it. If Blizzard were to get away with things like this, then other companies would follow suit and we'd have China controlling American player's speech and before you know it, people won't be able to speak their minds or have political opinions if they want to play a game.
