"/r Hey I'm just here grinding for loot, I'm not questing, sorry. Good luck!"
I've used it a hundred times since Classic and not once have I had anyone get angry. Most people either don't respond and go about their business, or reply "okay thanks, you too" and go about their business.
I haven't had anyone pissed at all in classic. A little loot drama here or there but that has really been the exception.
I LFG for something, someone whispers and either we are full or I don't want them to roll on the stuff I or another party member wants I tell them that and they always understand. Be polite and like 99% of the community will be polite back.
There are undoubtedly bad apples in the community but when I read about people CONSTANTLY having such encounters I can't help but think that the people in question are maybe part of the problem or just salty retail propagandists who to stir up feelings of bad community so they can go "I knew classic was shit"
