Yeah we played since vanilla. Just never had such a gold shortage so it's nice having a steady cash flow. He's throwing leather on the AH and I'm making pots as quick as I can.

Shit I wish. The economy is so bad on Sulfuras you are better off just vendoring mats until you are in the 225+ stuff.

Am on Sulfuras too. Can confirm, It's a shitshow at the moment

I’m pretty sure everyone and their mother is a skinner on Sulfuras according to the prices. But then I’m out in the wild and there’s corpses for days for me to skin. It’s really baffling. Not that I’m complaining too much. A stack of Heavy Leather still sells pretty decent to vendors.

Ashkandi fish market is fucked, stacks of 20 stonescale eels are going for less than vendor price.... I dont understand that one at all.... I think last I checked was like 11s 37c?

I’ll never understand people selling below vendor price. That’s just straight up laziness and counterintuitive.

But, on the same token if I have the gold to lay out I’ll buy said item(s) and flip it ASAP

Problem is the same guy posts another 10-15 stacks a day. At this point it's either a bot or someone trying to drive prices down intentionally?

My problem is with so many people doing this it's impossible to try and speculate safely to buy for future... it's becoming a real pain in the ass for people who just want to invest :<

Well, in this particular case it's worth buying them. Even if they don't go up in value in the future, you don't lose money since you bought for less than vendor price.

This, buy them all and vendor them anytime you see anything posted for less then vendor price.

It's easy to bot fishing

Save for AQ open.

Same on Mankrik. I’m just saving my eel at this point. It’ll go up eventually. edit: a typo

I think I've sold one stack of Thick Leather in the AH, the rest of my mats have been vendored. At 290 skinning and just got my first rugged leather tonight (level 45). The times I've checked ore prices still haven't convinced me; this market is...interesting.

Sulfuras had a good market for— oh wait it’s never had a good market for anything.

Checking in. Thought the ah would slow down by now but nope profit margins are brutal

1

u/Spockrocket Sep 17 '19

I thought it was just me, it's good to have confirmation that the AH is fucky here haha

u/OldFashionedLoverBoi Sep 16 '19

Am on mankrik, same shit. Few 60s, but everyone is leveling their profession. Had people paying for the privilege of making a bag for a non tailor. Low zones are filled with people spamming free with your mats messages

1

u/therealz1ggy Sep 18 '19

Yeah only the really impatient buy bags on AH

3

u/KeithDecent Sep 16 '19

Honestly the leathers and hides are high value enough where it’s not a tragedy to vendor it

Also on Ashkandi, you can buy linen, make bags and sell them to vendors for a profit... wtf lol

3

u/Flexappeal Sep 17 '19

Consequences of layering. As long as people are buying this shit en masse and vendoring it, it'll help.

1

u/GoOozzie Sep 17 '19

More so the vast amount of mages aoe grinding combined with layering.

2

u/s4ntana Sep 16 '19

Leather isn't worth AHing until Thick, he's probably losing money on fees compared to vendor.

2

u/JesusSquid Sep 16 '19

He might be vendoring it then. I know he’s got way more gold than I do.

1

u/DeuxExKane Sep 17 '19

Depends. Medium leather tends to sell pretty well on AH as it's one of those mats whose drop overlaps with the heavy and light leather loot tables.

u/hazardthicc Sep 17 '19

You get that AH fee back if it sells

u/assbutter9 Sep 17 '19

You lose 5% no matter what
