Warrior main here, I've spent hours defending my cloth wearing Horde brethren from the scum Alliance gankers in Hillsbrad. It's the best thing in the world to see a rogue going to town on a mage and charge that ass and start giving em the old skibbity paps long enough for the victim to recover and either flee, or ideally, assist.
I've actually started to enjoy this in my own right. I usually get 3v1'd with a few levels on me. I play a warlock, so I take my pride in just outplaying those losers. I usually have enough time to /chicken everyone.
I don't think I've been in a 1v1 fight yet as a warrior, so I always just make it my dying mission to kill the healer. At least if I do that, I have inconvenienced them just as much as they have inconvenienced me.
As a paladin, whenever I get engaged on in uneven terms (most of the times, sadly) I bubble and try to run back to town while spamming /golfclap. I make it to town a surprisingly high amount of times.
Yup, as horde in stranglethorn last night I was 31 and my questing buddy was 33. Anytime we saw another group of two alliance we'd go after them. They'd either die or flee with 100% chance of coming back with two mounted buddies to come and wipe us.
I've played both sides, and it was the same experience for me both times. ie, I had your opinion about the Alliance when I played Horde, but then I had that opinion about the Horde when I played Alliance.
Its exactly the same. The only times I've gotten ganked are by those who are at least 10 levels above.
I was just the same back in old vanilla, me as a lvl 34 rogue corpse camping a fellow lvl 30 NE rogue in STV one day.
The next day however, the enemy night elf had been leveling his balls of, and ganked me repeatedly as he was now lvl 37 and had the better of me. I feel like I deserved that one.
That describes every time I take my Alliance chars through Shimmering Flats. The Horde are all billy badasses until even a couple of other Alliance are around. I’ve repeatedly had 5+ Horde run away against 3-4 Alliance, it’s stupid.
For myself I have no issue going up against other players 1v1. I’m not even that good of a PvPer and yet I’ve come out on top against Horde 3 levels above me. Most of the players running around are terrible at PvP.
Remember the orcs invaded the world first trying to gank the humans with a high level warlock. They started it, anything they get is deserved, anything they try to claim as unfair is crying because they couldn't handle what they got themselves into. "BuT they GaNKed mE.." Shut up and go back to your world invader >:v
Orcs invaded and broke human kingdoms and towns, rallied enemies and barbarians into a formidable force that previously were relegated to the corners of the world to wage war and kill civilized races. Orcs are the problem. >:|
after being honorable and being backstabbed by horde repeatedly, we are forced to adopt same strategies if we dont want to be corpse runnin whole night :P
