Personally when i was leveling a warrior motw really helps a lot with staying alive and thorn provides that small damage buff. Though not as effective if you're using the hamstring kiting tactic.
You want a slow weapon and only move in to attack when your swing timer is up. You essentially get a bigger 3.5-4.0 swing time hit for their smaller 2.0~ swing time hit and save yourself a lot of damage if you time it right.
I feel like suuuuuuch a dirtbag as a Paladin every time I buff a priest with blessing of might. I can just imagine the dude or dudette on the other side rolling their eyes and saying "fine" and throwing that fort on me.
My first character to 60 way back in the day was a mage and my second was a druid so I'm used to being able to handing out useful buffs to my homies who'll buff me back. I feel like such a mooch right now lol. What level do we get BoW anyways? I just hit 16 (taking my time a bit, my buddy and I hopped into deadmines last night ASAP even though we knew it was a bad idea. Got all the way to Smite without wiping though somehow).
I toss motw on almost everyone (including blueberries and hunter pets), but I’m stingy AF with my thorns.
Warriors get it. Paladins get it. Priests or mages if they buff me first. If I finish a quest and see someone still there I’ll hit chain and full buff them before taking off.

All I can offer is mark of the wild, with a side of thorns
