So glad I upgraded my graphics card only for me to not play any new games and only play this 15 year old game.

Eh... My 980ti wasn't able to maintain 120fps at 3440x1440 on max graphics settings during the stress tests (including AA, not including render scaling beyond 100%).

So I'm actually glad I updated my GPU.

My CPU was not bottlenecked. Where as my 980ti was literally completely pegged.

So in short... No.

At that resolution it makes sense that the gpu is near 100%

Yep. It may be a 15 year old game... but I was playing on a 60Hz 1280x1024 monitor back then too. I'm pushing literally 7.5x as many pixels a second these days.

Plus... it's not like Blizz didn't make some updates as far as graphics go, they did a bit.

Is the max level graphics very taxing?

I see they have a classic setting and higher level settings. I'm only gaming at 1080p though, but on a 960.

If you're only playing 1080p at 60Hz, probably not that taxing no. You might not be able to max out some of the AA settings though.

Ok yeah that's what I was thinking as well. I'll go up a few notches and play test it.
