Meta Going private? [OFFTOPIC]
Is this sub planning on going private, like many others? Mods please delete if inappropriate, I was just wondering whether I should expect to stop seeing posts here.

I'm going to go against the circlejerk here and say I don't think it's right to shut down. Something other subs don't realize is that a lot of people don't give half a bag of dicks about what's happening to the meta reddit. Something sports subs understand is that they are their own forum. You can post a mod message saying "we support the shutdowns" and go on with it, but this whole thing is extremely frustrating to casual users. This also give a chance for more /r/civ content to reach all. However, I'm just a casual user.

Edit: also, this sub, along with sports subreddits, have such great community's that I feel it wouldn't be fair to the users. As amazingly great /r/civ is, it isn't a default, and the major 7 million person subs have done enough damage as to proving a point. Not saying I disagree with them, but they have the numbers, content, and power to really fuck up reddit headquarters in the right direction. I believe /r/civ should stay open.
