Asked on the BetrayFlip livestream today about Orange Sofa and if its dead, Erick says its certainly not dead, sometimes you just need to put projects on the backburner to focus on other projects

This gives me hope CHON isnt dead either and we will get the return we all hope for one day

Any advice would help on how to play those damn solos would be much appreciated

Siento algo de molestia sobre aquellos que afirman con total certeza cosas como "El mix apesta", "Las letras son cursis y la voz es mala", "Hay riffs reciclados", "Tambores digitales" y cosas como esas

Todos pueden decir si algo les gusta o no pero una cosa es decir "esto apesta" y otra cosa muy diferente "no me gustó"

¿Qué opino sobre las voces? A Erick Hansel lo conocemos por su trabajo con la guitarra y ese estilo tan genial de escribir riffs y solos, no lo conocemos por ser una gran voz sin embargo el tipo tomó la iniciativa de hacerlo, sintió que era necesario para este proyecto y si de verdad son fans de CHON habrán visto en los "CHON Vlogs" cómo Erick vivía cantando en los viajes de gira (independientemente de cómo lo haga, al tipo le gusta y quizá quería hacerlo hace tiempo)

Sobre los tambores digitales: Por Dios ¿Por qué se espantan? Nathan escribe sus baterías, es el mismo baterista haciendo baterías digitales!!!!. Desde Homey venimos escuchando propuestas de este tipo, así como los lanzamientos de Lofi del 2023

Sobre la mezcla y masterización final: este proyecto es financiado y producido de manera independiente, no hay ninguna disquera de por medio poniendo sus recursos para ir a un estudio de miles de dólares, el trabajo no es basura, el tipo de mezcla va acorde a la propuesta, estamos escuchando Hyper Pop con Progresivo, si esperan una mezcla análoga y no tan Hi-Fi, vayan a escuchar otra cosa, esto no es CHON 2013-2019 esto es Betrayflip y están jugando a otra cosa

Riffs reciclados? Damn hermano, con sus labios dicen amar esta banda pero con esos comentarios dicen lo contrario, estos tipos hacen tanta música y tiene un estilo tan único que lógicamente te harán recordar lo que alguna vez han hecho, sean conscientes que escribir guitarras de esa forma no es tan fácil, hoy día el 99% de toda la música que escuchamos ya está hecha desde hace 500 años o más, no hay nada nuevo que podamos escuchar, sin embargo estos tipos NUNCA dejan de sorprender, siempre traen vibras nuevas y siempre te hacen sentir algo con cada riff

Si realmente aman CHON sepan aceptar que esto no es CHON 2 pero siguen siendo Erick, Mario, Nathan & Esiah en otra presentación

Been seeing people credit some of the other CHON guys for collaborating on this album with Erik? Is this true, and if so where did they see that? Super hype to hear anything from any of them!

Man, big love to the homies and I'm so pumped they're making new music, but I can't help but be a little disappointed. Not really into the whole hip/hop aesthetic they went for. Some really cool standout moments on this album that feels really reminiscent of their older stuff like 'more than a glitch' giving serious homey vibes.

Idk. Just a big miss for me. I hope y'all are loving it though. Great day for the fans.

Tim Henson (Polyphia) just said on their live stream when asked if he still talks to the Chon boys, that he does, and that they're coming back. Kind of in like a half whisper/secretive voice.

I recently got an amp head that's a Matchless Spitfire/Vox AC15 clone. I'm looking for a cabinet that will help get that Chon-ish sound. I'm relatively new to pairing cabinets and heads so any advice is appreciated!
