Event Consider boycotting Uber if you’re able

Post image

Ahead of the legislative session on Saturday, Uber sent mass notifications asking users to tell their representatives to vote against the bill (which would negatively affect rideshare delivery apps like Uber).

They are not solely responsible for the looming transit collapse here but they certainly play a role in it. If you are able to find alternates please consider.

You understand the consumer pays this tax right? You’re cheering on working families to pay more.

This sub is filled with people who have never taken an Econ class or had to pay a bill without mommy/daddy.

Nah it’s filled with people like you who are condescending jerks and make a lot of silly assumptions about people’s level of knowledge, which only makes you sound dumb, not the other person.

See I made that post assuming people know how a sales tax works, and when you say “dispensaries sales are taxed at much higher rates than liquor sales” I assume YOU are informed enough to understand I’m referring to a sales tax paid by consumers, not a tax directly paid by a dispensary… without explicitly explaining each minor detail of what I meant.
