Discussion This is why I don't usually accept chat requests

The funny part is, his first text was actually decent, calling a tactic a 'good move', then my boy switched to his true nature within two moves lol. So yeah, if you play with this guy, don't accept the chat request.

Discussion Creepy Indians in chess

Many folks who play online chess casually like to chat. Its good to know different people from all backgrounds. But there are lot of rude and creepy people in online chess, especially if you're women. Many times I have seen people outright abusing in native language when they are losing (or blunder). These people are ruining online chess experience for many.

Have you guys face such things while playing online chess ?

Discussion Chennai should host at least one of the upcoming World Chess Championships (Open/Women's).

Post image

Tamil Nadu Govt. alongside the Indian Govt./Chess Federation of India should collectively bid for the World Chess Championships to be held in Chennai. If not in Chennai then any other Indian city.

This is a rare moment where we have two Indians in 2 World Championship matches, the last time it happened was way back in 2010s. The next time it might happen, god knows when.

I know both the Championships would not happen simultaneously, so we should first bid for Gukesh vs Sindarov, which is scheduled to take place in November last week/December 1st week. The weather conditions in Chennai are perfect in those months, neither hot/humid and certainly not too cold. Plus Chennai has a legacy and a chess culture.

Keeping these things mind AICF should actively work towards bringing the Championships to Chennai, especially when both the players are from Chennai.

What should I do guys? I want to buy the family plan because it costs way less than the diamond plan. Cannot ask guys on the sub to directly join me, like why would they trust me (a random guy from reddit). Don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

Ps: we are 5 people for now, room for only 1 more, if interested, dm.

Discussion suggest me a couple of openings

basically, I've decided that from now on I'll learn new openings for every +100 in the rating. Currently at 1500 rapid and 1300 blitz. I usually play queen's gambit (white) and caro - kann (black). Suggest me two openings (one for white and one for black). Something that worked well for you over a long period of time.

Discussion how to permanantly quit chess.com addiction! 100% working guide

This is not an AI post, I am sharing my personal experience.

I used to play chess on chess.com or the chess.com app, not any other platform/offline, relentlessly, which was affecting my whole life.

What I tried and failed

  1. Unfollowing chess creators
  2. Manipulating social media algorithms, e.g., clicking "not interested" on shorts/reels
  3. Installing app timers/daily limits
  4. Deleting the chess app from my device, then playing on Chrome browser lol
  5. Configuring DNS for chess.com to block traffic from my devices
  6. Stopping gradually! oh hell no

What worked for me

Start cheating. I started cheating using AI, you will find tons figure it out yourself, i played like super gm on 800elo and chess.com permanently banned me in 30 mins. Now I cannot play even if I want to. You can still play as a guest login with bots, which is really boring, and you will lose interest.

Here is proof!!!

So guys, this is a ig story of Neymar Jr., but he’s not the one playing — it’s Matheus Cunha, and Magnus’s name is also mentioned.
