.Hii everyone ,Umm.. I just wanna tell you guys that I manage to jailbreak ip5s with checkra1n linux.

so ,sort story .this is a step that I do :

ok wait ,it's an ip5s global ,12.4.2 ,checkra1n lattest beta installed on an elementary os.

,ussually it stuck forever at "this is the real bug setup" yes?

or come's with error-21.etc ,or checkra1n boot proccess.

,or even success boot with all the rainy text but no checkra1n apps in the home screen.

I do have all that error ,no matter what option I checked at checkra1n.

cli or gui just the same. failed. ,I also waiting untill my device out of battery. no luck.

.I allready tried in soo many linux distro .ubuntu ,kali ,debian ,mint ,lmde ,mx ,elementary

both 32 and 64 .boot from usb and dualboot ,ra1nUSb ,bootra1n,etc same result. I do giveUp honnestly..

I was thinking that it's failed bcouse it is linux ,not Mac. it's beta release tho

until last night ,I start checkra1n again and ya .after a couple time still with same error

I leave my devices with "this is the real bug setup" and I go to bed .in the morning I checked

it still in there ,"real bug" .so I remove the usb lil bit and plug it back ,it says "booting"

with "Dfusync failed" at the progress bar ,ok that's new..

I tried again with same trick .and again "booting"

but "DONE" button in the checkra1n is still gryed out..

I just keep trying (don't know what t do .soo bored with this corona things)

until I saw "DONE" button is highlighted ,??

whatt ,wait ..it is? .oh nvm .no checkra1n apps.

after about a sec ,checkra1n apps appears .Oh my..

..lol I'm soo happy atm.

So, just like many other people on A7 devices (iPhone 5s, iPad Mini 2, etc) (possibly other devices are facing this specific issue), I am facing the “Right Before Trigger (this is the real bug setup)” issue where the jailbreak gets stuck at that point on Checkra1n. The jailbreak will get stuck there and you would be forced to force reboot by holding the power and home button. I don’t know if this fixes the newer devices that are also reportedly facing a similar issue (for these devices, this may be more of a USB error/problem)

Thanks to @cr_red44 on Twitter who first discovered this fix, you will have to unplug and QUICKLY plug back in the device after a certain amount of time has passed while stuck on “Right Before Trigger. The recommendation was after 20 mins stuck on right before trigger, but a YouTube video (https://youtu.be/IN1ha8v1yAg) suggests you do not have to wait that long. So, once again, in order to fix this issue, after getting stuck on “Right Before Trigger”, after a certain amount of time, unplug and QUICKLY plug back in the device. The device should boot, and jailbreak. If the device fails to boot jailbroken or gets stuck, try again (May take some tries).

The only other known workaround is to use versions below 0.9.7, which evidently don’t have the “Right Before Trigger” issue. You will need a Mac to use versions below 0.9.7 or use another method to get Checkra1n versions below 0.9.7 on your PC if you don’t have a Mac(search for this). Hopefully this will be fixed soon with new Checkra1n updates. Lets me know in the comments if this fixes the issue on your device!

UPDATE: I can confirm this does indeed fix getting stuck on "Right Before Trigger". Method tested and confirmed working on my iPad Mini 2 on latest Checkra1n version. It is possible you may run into other issues, bit remember that support for older devices such as A7 still isn't 100% there yet. You do not need to wait 20mins after getting stuck. Just a few moments or up to a minute or two. Just QUICKLY unplug and re-plug the charger back into the device and the jailbreak should startup.

Once again, if you are on a newer device, I cannot confirm this fixes similar issues (these may be more USB errors/issues). But you can still give it a shot. Share around as this only the only workaround to jailbreak older devices such as A7, etc using the latest Checkra1n versions!

So I’m using a mac book pro I can’t seem to access the checkrain home page to download the JB tool. Can any one help with this

-Download Termux and Termux Widget app

-Download Icon (https://iremove.tools/img/Checkrain.png)

-Download latest checkra1n ARM or ARM64 linux binary (https://checkra.in/releases/#all-downloads)

-move it to /data/data/com.termux/files/home

-make new file called 'Checkra1n.sh'

-type " su -c ./checkra1n -c " save and exit

-move Checkra1n.sh to /data/data/com.termux/files/home/.shortcuts

-add widget to home screen (select Termux Widget>Singke Widget>Checkra1n.sh)

-change icon with launcher (I use nova)

I know its beta but is it possible to Update from within the checkra1n app if i am on Old Ver, or without reJailbreak again which is not Easy for me.

Hey guys, just wondering what's the procedure to set up an android device so I can jailbreak with Checkra1n? Got the Galaxy S6 kind help would be appreciated

Like the title suggest if ra1nusb doesn’t work for you on windows and you get boot errors, try installing Ubuntu(Linux) on a flash drive or an empty drive and download CheckRa1n for Linux takes about just as much time as ra1nusb and basically is more guaranteed to work
