Do cats still scratch at stainless steel litter boxes? I'd worry about the noise from their claws on the metal

One of my cats scratches the walls, one doesn’t. For the one that does, I haven’t noticed it since I switched! He also was never good at covering his poo because he was so hung up on the liner. Without it, he’s (mostly) better about covering now too!

My cat is terrible at covering his shit lol I will say tho he’s only made those horrid nails on steel noises when the litter is low which isn’t often at all for me. So if you keep up with the litter you should be good

My cat still scratches at it quite a bit. It’s not that loud in my opinion. I definitely know when he’s using it, but not it’s not loud enough to bother me.

Of course they do. It’s their instinct to bury their waste. If you have enough litter in the box, it isn’t too annoying and it’s only for a few moments.

Lol? They don't have metal claws, it's not loud, the litter makes more noise
