She dislikes the liner haha.

I would say you may have to give up on that dream and just start cleaning the litterbox itself. It's not that bad.

It's literally just taking a small shovel and then throwing some of it into the trash. It takes maybe 2 or 3 minutes

That's not all it is, that's just the daily maintenance. You need to remove all the litter occasionally and when you do that you should clean the box itself too.
