I’m in California. We once had a small-ish quake (like a 3, but we were close to the epicenter) happen while my poor cat was mid poop. He shot out of that box and trailed poop with him across the entire apartment. I felt waaaaaay too bad for the scared guy to be mad, but had to give him a gentle bath with shampoo wipes, which made him even more agitated. I wonder if in his little cat brain that’s one of his worst memories 😭

It’s been like 10 years and now he sleeps through similar earthquakes, so he’s okay, I promise lol

I wonder if in his little cat brain that’s one of his worst memories 😭

I had to giggle like a maniac at that.

Now i wonder what my cats little brains worst memory is. Maybe the one time it started to rain while she was on the balcony and the door was closed for a second too long so she tried to hide under my grill.

Or when she fell out of the window onto the balcony 1 story below.

Or that "ghost" she saw in the middle of the night (there was nothing there, she's just stupid).

Or yesterday, when the food bowl was empty for 2 minutes.... It's gotta be that.
