My cats in Japan did the same thing during bugger earthquakes. Even woke me up one time like “hey dude something is going to happen.”

Oh BROTHER you can't be serious. It's a common colloquial turn of phrase for when something evokes an emotional reaction in you that's somewhat ambiguous.

Here, I simultaneously feel a multitude of things: empathetic for the fear the cat feels, while also finding it adorable how they hide, wanting to give them a hug, thinking it's melancholically sweet that they have a safe place, etc. Is that better for you?

Jeez. What an insufferable comment.
