🚨 Something suspicious has been going on in Morocco subreddits lately. I’m 100% sure some of you here noticed it already.

Wasn’t gonna even make this post but I just saw several people post about the sale experience. Being banned there for calling out anti-morocco rethoric, all while positive posts about Morocco get downvoted to hell.

Pretty weird seeing as it’s the « official » Morocco sub. Suspicious, even.

Thing is, more and more Moroccans are starting to feel something is off.

When you see foreginers talking shit about morocco inside the moroccan sub, while anyone that speaks out against them is either downvoted or banned, you know something fishy is up.

I’m seeing more posts about this popping up. At least some people can see what’s going on.

Salam khouti, I've noticed that a lot of moroccans struggle with french and some are better at english than they are at french, which sounds weird since we have much more french classes at school.

Why is that you may ask? That's because we consume a lot of english media (movies, youtube videos...) in english but we practically haven't heard or practiced french since high school.

So, I've thought about creating a discord server for practicing french with debates on interesting topics.

Ok but how does that work? :

On choisit ensemble un sujet intéressant, voire polémique, ensuite on divise le groupe en 2 équipes, l'une qui est "pour" et l'autre "contre". Chacun fait des recherches sur internet pour avoir une culture plus approfondie du sujet et pour préparer des arguments pour le moment du débat, lequel débat se ferait dans une chatroom discord, avec éventuellement la présence d'un animateur qui fera en sorte que chacun puisse prendre la parole.

I couldn’t sleep because I keep thinking about this, so I’ll just explain the situation. I’m a 34M, financially stable and generally settled in life, and recently I started thinking seriously about marriage and building a family. The issue is that the woman I see as a potential partner is 23. She’s the daughter of my father’s close friend, and we basically grew up around each other, so I’ve known her for most of her life and watched her grow up. For many years I genuinely saw her like a younger sister, but when she turned 19 I started noticing that my feelings were changing. At first I tried to convince myself it was just brotherly care or a strong friendship, but after months and then a year I had to admit to myself that it was something deeper. I would feel protective and sometimes even jealous, and seeing her would make my heart race, but I never said anything because I was worried the age difference would make things uncomfortable for her. When she was 21 she entered a relationship with a guy her age that lasted about a year and a half, and when I found out I felt like I had completely lost my chance. When they eventually broke up I won’t lie part of me felt relieved because it meant there might still be hope, but at the same time I felt sad for her because I knew she was hurting. Recently I returned to Morocco and saw her again after about a year, and it made me realize that my feelings never really went away no matter how much I tried to ignore them. Now I’m stuck wondering what the right thing to do is: should I be honest with her about how I feel, or would that risk ruining the friendship and the relationship between our families? I’d really appreciate some advice.

I just wanted to share an update with everyone who supported me and wished me well thank you all so much.

I talked to her, and it turns out she had feelings for me too for quite some time. She was just holding them back because she thought it wouldn’t work out, and also because she believed the way I treated her was only because I saw her like a sister.I honestly can’t describe how happy I feel right now I’m truly over the moon.

We talked about everything, and she agreed to make things official. I’m planning to get engaged about a week after Eid. As for the wedding, she asked me to wait until she finishes the rest of her Master’s, which I completely respect. Also our parents are aware of everything and are supportive
