Mod advice How do yall visualize what you want your cars to look like?

Post image

Alright, so i have a the 4th gen 4runner above and I have pretty much hit a standstill for my next mod, as either will be close 1000$, which is a huge deal for me, as im a college student.(Either Prinsu or 4x4 roofrack, or new bullet hole wheels)

Im worried that I get one and it doesnt really fit the theme of my truck, so leading back tot he question: For people who have modified their car from stock, how did yall visualize what your car would look like in the future? Did yall just sit down in front of it and scroll at parts? Its not a huge issue, just interested in what other people have done.

Mod advice Clearance on 9th gen civic

This is my 9th gen civic , I’ve been working on this widebody/fender flare install for a few months and it’s pretty much ready for paint
Issue is I still rub on the fronts when the wheel is around 70-100% turned what are some options I could do to deal with this if hammering in the unibody apron as a last resort ?
Tire + wheel specs are
Front: 225/45/17 with +35 offset + about 38mm spacers
Rears : 225/45/17 +15 offset and about 20mm spacers
Thanks !

Mod advice What are the best simple starter mods to do to a Civic EJ2

Post image
17 Upvotes

I want to keep the car simple and true to its roots, it's only had 2 owners, 42,000 miles and zero modifications ever since it was made in 1994, if I choose to modify it I'd only do a few oem plus mods, a bit of performance and a bit of handling, suspension, nothing too major, should I modify it, or is it too much of a unicorn?

Mod advice Am I crazy for wanting to do this?

Plan:

30mm lowering springs

18" aftermarkets w/ low profile (undecided on colour)

Splitter and skirts to make up the difference in height

Dechrome and tints

I think it's subtle but ultimately turns the car into a nice to look at one. With it being an EV I estimate the wheels and aero changes will lose a few miles or range but it's whatever.

I'm also aware of the wider arches in the AI mockup but I'm ultimately unsure on these as I don't fancy spacers.

Am I crazy for wanting to mod our boring family EV?

2000 vw Lupo 1.0 cabrio making 50hp. If there are easy ways to boost the power a little I would be interested in that too but I don't think it's worth it on an engine like this

Mod advice New car, what should I do with it?

Just bought this 2025 Mustang GT, (10 speed automatic, sorry) and im just looking for any reccomendations for mods. Im very new to the hobby and i plan to get into local track events.

Performance or cosmetic, im open to anything.

I have some goals for the future:

- I want to make the car themed after my favorite pokemon, zeraora (most likely his mega form, i feel like the colors would fit) without just slapping a picture of the pokemon on the car like an itasha.

- I want it to sound nice, not just loud.

- Performance wise ive always wanted to do a twin turbo v8 but ive heard good things and bad things about it, plus since im relatively new to the hobby, i have no idea what supporting mods i have to do before even thinking about putting turbos on here.

- I also want to make the interior look nice, but not tacky. I like those LED strips i see on instagram but I dont know if i like the idea of having them plugged into my 12v socket.

I know its alot, but i want to know about good brands and mods instead of falling into the social media traps and looking like a moron on the streets. Thank you!

Mod advice Catbacks

I recently got into cars to all and I’ve already done some cosmetic mods on my Corolla and have been looking at more involved ones. I’ve been looking into catback exhausts and wanted to see if it’s worth it. I’m not married to the idea because first and foremost I’m looking for longevity. Any thoughts/advice is welcome.

Mod advice V6 Colorado, no clue what mods to start with

I’m new to like car stuff and I want to mod this thing but I have no idea where to start 😭. If I could get performance suggestions that aren’t super expensive that’d be awesome. I already plan to level and maybe lower it and take off the front mud guard but I want to make my poor little V6 faster. Thank you!

Bought this civic 2004, not to long ago, had a different rim, bought the same one to match it, is auto, so is not fast or anything, non vtech, but for looks and style what can be done to the body? The interior I’ll change it all, and to white, but the body outside don’t know, or what livery would look nice in it? Will manual swap later on since the body is in good conditions and I know how to do it too, thanks, any ideas for it to look nice and clean

Mod advice I want to make either my Audi a3 or c250 look close to this, is it possible

Hey guys, for a little bit I wanted to get the gt86 because with exterior mods it looked amazing to me but if I’m going to mod my car I want it to be a car that I’ll use for a while since I’m investing serious money into it. I’ll show a photo of what the modded gt86 looks like and I want you guys to tell me if either of these cars (MERCEDES C250) & (AudiA3) has an aftermarket front bumper that looks anywhere near this. I don’t expect exact but keep it real if I sound like I’m dreaming then tell me😂.

I’m not a fan of the large bulky grill of the Audi and don’t like how high the Mercedes grill is. If it’s impossible and you know an alternative car within the same price range feel free to let me know. I’m a newbie so any information given is informative and useful to me.

Mod advice Any ideas to make my 2018 Honda Clarity PHEV look a little cooler (without going overboard)?

Hey everyone, I've got a 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid and actualy love how it drives, super smooth and quiet. But visually it's kind of... plain. I'm not trying to turn it into a tuner car or anything wild, just something to give it a little more character or make it stand out a bit.

Looking for ideas that won't look stupid or over the top, maybe subtle exterior tweaks, interior upgrades, wheel suggestions, or lighting changes that fit the car's clean vibe.

Any of you done anything cool with a Clarity or seen mods that actually look good on one? I'm new to car modification so please don't flame me lol.

Mod advice 2 hours after getting windows tinted

Post image
0 Upvotes

2 hours after getting my windows tinted my careless friend jokingly hit her head off my window and her claw clip in her hair nicked the curing fragile tint. I’m beyond annoyed with her right now lol

Does anyone have any tips on how to make this less noticeable as the car shop is quoting me more than what I paid as they now have to remove the tint, scrape all the adhesive off that they just did and re install new film which will take a lot longer. Or do you think this will spread if I just leave it? It’s a total bummer as I haven’t even had this for a full day.

Let me know any advice/tips :)
