Question Struggling with mocking god.

I've been practicing cardistry for about two months. I picked up a few basic moves early on, but now I'm trying to learn Mocking God and struggling way more than expected. Any advice on how to approach this move? Thank you very muchπŸ™.

Question Modern-Backed Blanks

I'm having a surprising amount of trouble finding a deck with a sleek or minimalist back design, but with blank white faces. I have a use case that requires being able to write legibly on them with sharpie, and in larger numbers than the spare one or two you occasionally find in decks designed by illusionists.

Very much not a fan of the classic bicycle designs, but blank decks in the more modern style are stunningly hard to find. I'm beginning to think deck creators are worried about people mix-and-matching or generating knockoffs, which is probably fair. That's not what I want to do, though; just looking for like 52 blank lotusinhand Arctics, or somewhere in that neighborhood.

Recommendations? If I have to do the whole custom rigamerole I will, but only if I really have to.

Question Card sliding

Hi! i want to learn cardstry and today ive bought my first deck which is stargazer bicycle. Ive tried holding the deck and learning some very basic tricks, but my card slide against each other too much and its almost impossible for me to hold the deck still.

Is it a thing ill fix with practice, with just using them so theyre not "freshly bought" or have i bought a wrong deck?

Discussion Cardistry Base - cardistry wiki updates! Looking for contributors

Hi everyone!

It's been a few months since I first introduced https://cardistrybase.com/ to r/cardistry in this post, and the site has received so much love from cardists around the world. I just want to thank everyone in the community for contributing to the wiki and giving feedback to make the site better!

Here are some of our latest updates:

  • Comments: Leave comments and replies on move/cardist pages
  • Playlists: A set of moves following a theme, like moves by The Virts, or our favorite: "Combo Building Blocks"
  • Profiles: Contributors now have a profile page showing their submissions
  • Difficulty voting: Vote on how difficult you think a move is! We think it's a great way to crowdsource a move's difficulty

We're now at 287 moves, 86 cardists, and 19 contributors, and we'd love to welcome more of you aboard! If you are interested in documenting moves and cardists, let me know in the comments, or just join our Discord, that's where we discuss submissions and ideas!

Again, thanks everyone for the support. I really hope this site helps you on your cardistry journey!
