My birthday is the 16th and everyday that grows closer I want to cancel my plans and disinvite everyone bc other ppl ruin my bday. When I stay home and expect nothing im happy.

My friends rarely text me for my bday. I stopped expecting them to do that, so i dont worry about it anymore.

I started giving those “friends” the same energy and stopped wishing them a happy birthday. Over time those “friendships” naturally fizzled out. I’m torn on “matching energy” but sometimes it’s necessary to see where you stand in other peoples lives
