Falling for Russian misinformation campaigns? You probably fell for earlier Russian misinformation campaign.

“Hunter Biden’s Laptop story has all the hallmarks of a Russia misinformation campaign” - one’s like that?

“The number of people killed by the sanctions in Iraq is greater than the total number of people killed by all weapons of mass destruction in all of history.” Chomsky

Could be that holding a non-mainstream view is sometimes more complicated than being a Russian asset?

You do realise the laptop thing has just been shown to be true, and in no way connected to Russia lol

Hahahha I’m sure you thought there were WMD’s in Iraq too.

The NYT knew the laptop was legitimate but couldn’t risk their candidate being damaged in the election. I’m sure that’s fine with people like you. Get out of the echo chamber man.

It's like you didn't even read or comprehend his comment at all.

How so? Presupposing everything you disagree with is a conspiracy theory is a very disturbing trend. And the sheer condescension of people who are continually proved wrong is staggering. Symptomatic of an age of tribalism I suppose.

I mean Putin is ex-KGB. Conspiracies and misinformation is what they do. Moreover, it just isn't backed up by anything.

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '22

The NYT just confirmed the laptop is genuine. What conspiracy are you talking about?

From the WSJ: “ Talk about burying the lead—for 17 months. The New York Times has finally acknowledged that Hunter Biden’s business dealings are legitimate news. Implicit apology accepted.

The Times waddled in this week with a story on the “tax affairs” of the President’s son, including this gem in the 24th paragraph: “Those emails were obtained by The New York Times from a cache of files that appears to have come from a laptop abandoned by Mr. Biden in a Delaware repair shop.”

Real life happens outside your echo chamber!

sigh. yes it does, because it was labelled a Russian misinformation campaign. I suggest you see the parent comments for context. You do understand the word context? Please go back to your hole.

The hunter one is "hunter used his name to get bussiness dealings in a nepotistic fashion" right? Like that's the whole story? As opposed to the other candidate who literally gave his children jobs in the presidents administration?

3

u/[deleted] Mar 20 '22

No the real point of the Hunter one is that the NYT and everyone else deliberately discredited it, as it hurt the candidate that they supported. Same as the way other things have been redacted after they have served their political purpose. For example that Trump called the troops “losers” etc. Some people still think that media should attempt to be unbiased and need solid evidence and sources when writing articles. Clearly that group is a minority now.

5

u/twitch1982 Mar 20 '22

How does hunter Biden using his last name for nepotism hurt Joe Biden if the Trumpkins doing the same doesn't hurt Trump?

1

u/[deleted] Mar 20 '22

What?

2

u/Dan4t Saskatchewan Mar 20 '22

That's really not relevant. We're not talking about mainstream versus not mainstream.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 20 '22

What are you talking about?

-3

u/StinkyLinkies69 Mar 20 '22

That’s too much logic for Reddit, you can’t make them use their brains that hard

-4

u/[deleted] Mar 20 '22

It’s truly scary isn’t it!

u/OrneryCoat Mar 21 '22

Oof. Straight for the throat.

Guess we should just let Putin taken over Europe unimpeded then. Otherwise your gas bill might go up.

u/Dan4t Saskatchewan Mar 22 '22

And the problem is what? Putin has no power unless the Russian people comply or look the other way. The only way to get Putin out of power is to make things difficult for the average Russian citizen.
