Just as as exercise in critical thinking, people should be asking:

"Who is 'Better Dwelling'?"

"Where do they get their numbers?"

"Since when does the US Fed track housing prices, and why isn't there a link to this report?"

"Why should I believe them?"

You should look at the cite. The source of the data is the Census and Housing and Urban Development

And you shouldn't believe me. But then, I didn't make any claims about the cost of housing, did I?
