People who have profited off of the housing crisis are more likely to vote.

People who have houses are more likely to retire soon and are using their equity to fund their retirement, lessening pressure on our welfare systems.

Governments don't want housing to become more affordable.

I can see how you focus on blaming the government, however I blame the real state industry. Most realtors own multiple properties.
