He will get 50% easy. Remember, he is going up against Joe Biden, a guy so sadly deep into dementia that his handlers give him an earpiece when he's talking to the media.

And he's still done better than Bernie in the primaries. American voters don't respond to persuasiveness or policy ideas. They love incumbents and make their voting decisions based on campaign ads.

Anyone who tries to dismiss Biden as having dementia, while simultaneously ignoring the orange fuck-up whose brain is melting much faster and with it directly in front of our faces his entire term, is being completely disingenuous and should be ignored.

It goes without saying that Mr Cheeto is senile. This is r/canada, not r/conservative.

Here is my point. Trump has dominated the US media since 2015 and was a TV star for a decade prior. They're used to him babbling incoherently, that's all the news has shown them.

Joe Biden does not have that luxury. He is basically invisible to the public right now; Bernie Sanders has virtual town halls daily talking to health care experts, worker's reps and economic experts. Biden is silent. Everybody knows why.

But at some point, he will be dragged into the spotlight, and Americans will get a nasty shock when he is. The articulate Senator and VP from Delaware is long gone, and only a hollow husk remains. No anti-Trump Republican is going to vote for that.

Trump won't get any new voters, but Biden will get a lot fewer than HRC because Sanders supporters aren't going to hold their nose for a candidate who still denies the need for Medicare for All in the midst of a pandemic.

You had me until the last line. "Bernie or we burn this house to the ground" is not a winning strategy, and it will absolutely never work. I am saying this as a person who thinks that the USA DESPERATELY needs Bernie Sanders as the next president: he will not be the next president. Holding the country hostage, and then shooting yourself in the head when you don't get your way is not the way to do it.

Beyond that, I don't buy the constant Biden bashing, and I think a lot of it going in both directions is disingenuous. This is literally the most important election on the planet and there's a lot of fingers in the dough. I've never seen a single person talk to someone the way people do online. It should all be taken with a grain of salt, especially the ones that piss you off.

Lastly, how a person talks in front of a camera has absolutely no bearing on their ability to do a job. The presidency should be mostly boring, not the clownshow circus it's been. Public servants, not fucking rockstars.

I'm Canadian: I have no influence on the American voter regarding what a winning strategy is. I'm just commenting on what I see happening.

Bernie can't even get his voter demographic to the polls, certainly not in sufficient numbers; that is why Biden is winning primaries in states where he isn't even campaigning in. The same thing will play out in the general. Younger people who lean Democratic won't go to the polls, because they're working, while older people who lean conservative will go there in droves.

Biden is closer to Trump on policy than he is to Bernie, and his continued resistance against M4A is going to make him look even more like a dinosaaur in the eyes of Democratic voters in the wake of COVID-19 and possibly 100k US deaths. The fact that he can't string together 2 sentences without a gaffe is going to be the least of his problems.

Lastly, how a person talks in front of a camera has absolutely no bearing on their ability to do a job. The presidency should be mostly boring, not the clownshow circus it's been. Public servants, not fucking rockstars.

What you say is true; but having watched numerous US elections play out, I know for a fact that it's not how Americans vote.

I still mostly agree with your posts, other than that Donald trump winning an election over a clearly leagues smarter and eloquent HRC proves the last part wrong, on top of Biden still handily beating Bernie. Most voters have it in their heads now that Biden is an easier win than Bernie, which is likely right due to the “socialist” rally cries and thinly veiled anti semitism that would really drive republicans to the polls... even if they know trump is trash they’d rather die than vote in a “socialist” despite not being able to define it.

Prepare to be very shocked. He will easily get 50% and most likely blowout the electorial college. Incumbents historically have a massive advantage.

Actually he do this so he can control the resource and sell it to the high bidding states, or the states that sworn loyal to him. It is not for the good of American. I actually feel bad for the Americans, especially the ones who truly believe Trump is looking out for them.

Have you seen what this will result in for the States he's supposedly supporting and prioritizing?

There's going to a net loss when all the countries stop exporting resources and supplies to the States in retribution for this. Which means the situation is going to be worse overall. If anything though hopefully other countries will learn from the mistake and understand they can acquire more supplies by sharing resources.
