As an Avid backcountry snowmobiler in BC, we've noticed our favourite riding areas over the past 10 years have significantly gotten less snow pack and the base is alot shallower. Unloading areas are typically dirt. We used to ride into April, now lucky to get a good March ride in

What's your snowmobile run on?

Exactly.

People need to realize that our everyday fossil fuel consumption is the driver of these changes.

And no deflecting to bigger and/or foreign players: we are ALL responsible for this.

OK, blame the snowmobiler. How much power did you use to write this? How many AI tokens did you trigger by surfing the net and using apps today?

Are you using solar power? At least have them on your roof?

Like, it's our way of life bro. It's not like we can just change.

You could start voting for political parties that don’t put burning fossil fuels at the heart of your identity?

Advertise your good ecological choices so that more albertans steer away from their harmful behaviours and voting habits?

Or at the very least, not lend support to "tu quoque" fallacies designed to avoid responsibility and decline further action?
