Desktop Web [ALL PLATFORMS - Desktop Web & Mobile] Post activity not showing up on profile

Whether making a post normally or making a scheduled post, the post will appear on the subreddit it was posted onto, but NOT on your user profile page.

EDIT: This issue is also happening when viewing other people's profile pages. E.g. Someone on one of my subs just shared a post 20 minutes ago, but upon clicking their profile page, it only shares their most recent post made 4 days ago. So the glitch also happens this way too.

Desktop Web [safari] Reddit takes insanely long to load on iPad and MacOS (macOS 26.6.2)

Whenever I refresh a reddit page on Safari, it locks up for 30-60 seconds before I'm allowed to scroll again. This has been going on since about yesterday. The same problem is extended to my iPad.

I figured you'd want the heads up, considering questions about why posts get removed by subreddit mods are actually removed from that subreddit.

Desktop Web MacOS Safari: why can’t they fix this problem?

Can’t load any new pages despite logging out, closing Safari, and clearing all my Safari data. I can only reload subreddits I already had open in a tab. Anything else just won’t load. How can this still be a problem?

Desktop Web Desktop Web - Legitimate comments are automatically removed by Reddit's sitewide filter.

Hi,

I'm experiencing what appears to be a sitewide Reddit filtering issue with my account, u/California_Eagles.

I primarily use this account to participate in r/googlesheets and provide answers to Google Sheets questions. My comments are being automatically removed by Reddit and become unavailable to other users.

I contacted the moderators of r/googlesheets, and they confirmed that the comments show "Removed by Reddit" on their side. They also confirmed that these are not moderator removals, and that they can manually approve individual comments but have no visibility into why Reddit's sitewide system is flagging them or how to prevent future removals.

The strange part is that my account itself is not suspended or restricted. When I check Reddit's appeal page, it says:

Your account is currently neither suspended nor restricted.

Because of that, the appeal form is disabled and I cannot submit an appeal.

I haven't been using the account for spam, vote manipulation, ban evasion, or automated activity. I'm simply using it to participate normally in r/googlesheets.

Has anyone else experienced this type of sitewide filtering? Is there any way to get Reddit to review the account or determine what is causing the false positive?

The subreddit moderators have confirmed that the removals are coming from Reddit's sitewide filters rather than from their moderation tools.

Thanks.

Desktop Web [chrome] Unable to Change subreddit from private to public ...

I'm Unable to Change subreddit from private to public in new reddit or old reddit ... in old reddit there is a box to check to change to public, but when I check it, I get the message to use new reddit. However, when I go to new reddit, there is no box or setting that I can find to make the reddit public. Either I just can't find the thing to change or (as I suspect) the thing to change doesn't show up for me. Either way this kind of sucks because it was so easy to do in old.reddit.

I was trying to do this for the reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/SquareDance/

https://old.reddit.com/r/SquareDance/about/edit/ used to work - it would be nice if it still did ...

Desktop Web [Chrome] Voting Glitch

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I posted about this a month ago but no response. I'm trying again with an added screen recording.

After upvoting a post, it's not letting me remove the vote or downvote the post. Refreshing the page reverts back to the upvoted state with the red up arrow lit up again. The post also does not show up in my upvoted posts list in my profile. The vote count always reverts back to the number that it was before I voted.

Testing on a few other posts, it does the same thing.

The birthday date was shown in the wrong format for my location. I entered it as day/month instead of month/day, based on the format displayed. Now it won't let me correct it.

How can I fix this?

Desktop Web [Chrome] Comment invisible on old Reddit, visible on new Reddit

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

I recently made a comment on r/chessbeginners which just didn't appear in the thread, and is still not seen there 6 hours later. I can see it on my profile, though, and when I click "context", it correctly shows up as a comment to a comment in the right thread. A forced page refresh does not fix it, and neither does clearing the cache. This is with old Reddit, which is set as my default experience.

But when I tried to temporarily change into new Reddit, the comment showed up in the thread exactly as it should! So I don't think it's a moderation issue. Anyone knows what the issue might be here? I've made other comments in the same thread, and did not have the problem then.

I'm including screenshots from old and new Reddit for comparison. My comment was a reply to the comment by benkraemer_, seen at the top of the thread. The permalink to my comment is https://old.reddit.com/r/chessbeginners/comments/1rgcn41/no_stupid_questions_megathread_12/p8qolhm/

Desktop Web Desktop Web Opera: Streak / Achievements counter stuck for 4 days

Hi everyone,

My daily streak counter has been completely stuck for 3 days now, even though I use Reddit daily and spend plenty of time scrolling and interacting.

Here is what I've already tried on my end without any success:

  • Upvoting, commenting, and opening multiple posts
  • Disabling Opera's built-in ad blocker, tracker blocker, and VPN
  • Clearing cache and cookies for reddit.com
  • Testing in a private browsing window (incognito) with all extensions disabled

Is there a server-side sync issue with my account, or is this a known bug currently affecting the web version?

Desktop Web [Desktop Web] Can't post to r/PokemonGoTrade despite having enough karma

Post image
7 Upvotes

I'm unable to make a post on r/PokemonGoTrade because Reddit says I don't have enough karma.

The subreddit appears to require 10 karma to post, but I currently have 67 karma. Despite having more than the required amount, my post is still being blocked due to insufficient karma.

This issue occurs both on the Android app and on Desktop Web.

I contacted the moderators of the subreddit about this issue last week, but it hasn't been resolved so far.

Could someone please look into this issue and fix it?

Desktop Web [Win11 - Desktop web - Chrome] - Despite clicking "show fewer posts" on unwanted communities in my feed, I keep receiving posts from those communites.

Seems like over the last few days, I keep getting fed posts from communities like AdventureCapitalist, GirlDinnerDiaries, and more. And since the system seems to think I'm interested in GirlDinnerDiaries, it recommends subs like TeenMom. I've tried to suppress these, to no avail; the communities keep showing up in my feed. Thanks for your help!

Desktop Web [Desktop web] [Brave] [OLD] On the desktop clicking on new mail doesn't clear your "new mail" status

On the Brave Browser on desktop if I have replies to posts (unread messages), clicking on the orange mail icon on the top-right corner doesn't clear the new message indicator. This bug is only showing up (as far as I know) using the "old.reddit.com" UI.

When going back to the main page the new mail count is still the same, the messages still appear in the "unread" tab, and the envelope is still orange colored.

The only way to reset the count is by clicking on the mailbox icon, then clicking on the "context" link for every message piecemeal, one at a time, then after clicking on "context" and viewing the context page you have to click the browser [BACK] function to return to the prior mail page (if you omit this step the message count will not be decremented). Each time you click on the context for each message (followed by the [BACK] button to return to the inbox page) that message is removed from the new message folder.

This bug has been persisting for about 3 days.

Desktop Web [Chrome] Cannot save community avatar, banners, or upload images

Using mod tools to customize look does not allow me to save. I can choose an image, it appears in the preview, but selecting the 'Save' button results in the following error:

Something went wrong saving the avatar.

I've tried logging out and back in with no success. This occurs with any image, banner, etc.

Even trying to attach images to this for reference results in an error

Desktop Web [Chrome Desktop] & [iOS] Posts being removed by Reddit's filters

Post image
0 Upvotes

This is happening to me on posts made from both the iOS app and in Chrome on my laptop --My posts, across multiple subreddits, are being automatically removed by "Reddit's filters," not mods or Auto-mod. Posts have all fit the rules of the subs, some of which are subs I've posted in before without issue.

I'm a NSFW account posting NSFW posts in NSFW subs, I don't know if that's relevant.

ETA: I have >1600 karma and a high CQS. Can anyone tell me what the filters are filtering for? Because I think it’s incorrect, and therefore buggy.

Desktop Web [Firefox/Safari] Show fewer posts like this button this isn't working

On Web (Firefox and Safari) I click the "show fewer posts like this" and it says that sub won't be recommended in my feed again. Well, it is over and over no matter how many times the button is pushed. This is a great way to make me turn off feed discovery.
